We are very proud to share Kokomo Retreat with our guests. Dave and Anita have been residents of the Russell area since 2016 and took over ownership of Kokomo Retreat in late 2019. In addition to Kokomo, we also own or manage several other properties used for holiday accommodation in the area. Dave also owns a snack food delivery franchise here in Northland and Anita works as CFO for one of our largest tourism operators in the area. Our location overlooks Rocky Bay and has a walkway down to it. The hot tub provides a perfect vista of the outer islands and the rolling surf. From time to time the dolphins will swim amongst the rocks close by.

Tapeka Point is just 2 kilometers from Russell village. There is a shingle beach on the back doorstep with fishing, snorkeling, diving, kayaking and swimming. Two minutes down the road is another sandy swimming beach. There is also a boat ramp at this beach. There are several walks in the area. The Russell area enjoys the best beaches for your enjoyment, a choice of wonderful restaurants, for those that enjoy a wine we have 2 vineyards where you can go for a tasting. There are tours around the Bay, sailing and fishing charters, paragliding to mention a few activities. There is something for everyone in Russell, whether you want an action packed holiday or just to kick back and relax.
