It is a modern building with very big , nice and very comfortable rooms with front view to the vineyards hills and a little village. The large sitting area is bright and feels welcoming, the swimming pool is huge and has the same view as the rooms. The reception staff (Ruth) is lovely and makes you feel very welcome. Breakfast is great and a short drive to Armamar will take you to nice little places to have dinner. We totally enjoyed our stay.

Everything! Well except the weather lol. We were greeted by our hostess and Superman. (Her lil munchkin) They gave us a tour of the place and oriented us with the facilities. The apartment is spacious, has everything you need and the terrace would be heavenly if you weren’t getting remnants of a cyclone.

I visited the Quinta da Barroca in May 2026 during my trip to the Douro Valley, and it was a wonderful experience. The atmosphere and surrounding views were absolutely beautiful. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the overall system and service of the hotel were exceptional. A special thanks to the receptionist, whose name was probably Alex. He was a very kind and helpful person and guided us very well throughout our stay. The breakfast was also good, and the best part for our family was the swimming pools. My children enjoyed them a lot. The nearby scenery outside the hotel was breathtaking and made the stay even more memorable. I would definitely love to visit again very soon.
