Phil is a generous host who provided the upmost care for me during my stay. I was visiting the area for the Newport Rhode Race and had to wake up very early. When I asked about how to make coffee in the morning, Phil offered me a jar of pre-made, home-brewed cold coffee. It was obvious during my stay that he takes good care of the guests he hosts.

This Portsmouth motel is located 5 minutes’ drive from the Blithewold Mansion and Gardens and 10 miles from the historic Newport mansions. Facilities include free Wi-Fi and a picnic area.

We were in the area for our granddaughter’s graduation from Naval Officer Candidate School. The hotel location was great for getting to the Navy Base, restaurants, stores, and tourist sites. The property was clean, spacious, plenty of free parking, had a nice restaurant available for breakfast, etc, and the staff were friendly. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and it was quiet at night.

The location is convenient with Walmart in walking distance. Staff (especially Nick) in front desk is so welcoming to me as first time guest. He also remembers the guests who stayed before, very friendly environment.
