The staff was amazing. Paola is wonderful. It's in a safe and secure part between the beach and the center of Santa Maria. A grocery store is close. The people in the neighborhood are great and super friendly. There are so many great restaurants around that are affordable. There are 2 restaurants within a block of this location. My favorite part was watching people pass by on the street from my balcony. Paola and Mano are there to help you out. They are the friendly faces that are there twice a day to get you set up if you need to.....but you don't have to do anything if you don't want to. Wifi is great. Everything was SO easy. From the airport to Sakaroule. I spent 3 weeks here. I don't know where the time went, but it was a great place to call home and I am so grateful to Paola for her wonderful hospitality. Don't go to the big overpriced hotels. This is a very special place and if I ever come back, I would stay here again. Minutes from the beach. Minutes from great restaurants. Minutes from the central walk. Minutes from culture. Minutes from a shopping center. No taxi is needed. Most excursions will also pick you up from Sakaroule which Mano will set up for you if you need assistance with language or activity ideas.
