I was greeted by Stephanus (the owner) Very nice young man who told me he only completed the build in July 2024. I had the whole place to myself which was amazing. You can sleep with the windows open and the only thing you'll hear are the bells on the sheep. (best nights sleep in a very comfy new bed) My reason for going to Frangokastello was to experience the dark sky and it didn't disappoint I will defiantly be returning.

Casa Grotta With Sea & Cave View is located in Matala, just 7.2 miles from Phaistos and 9 miles from Museum of Cretan Ethnology. Guests staying at this campground have access to a balcony.

Amazing apartment with great size and amenities. You can really see that the host has spent time and money on making the space cosy and homey with great attention to details. The apartment is in an amazing location with an amazing view and a really amazing host, who was always communicating proactively and was super helpful! Was definitely a highlight of our trip to stay at this property.

The woman on site was very friendly and helpful and I have zero complaints against her. She seemed to have been thrown into the unfortunate position of having to explain the companies recently changed policy to multiple groups and I felt bad for her. Also, the location was amazing. We've stayed in Plakias before and liked this location because it's close to the beach, grocery store and lots of cute restaurants. The pool and pool bar that are part of Camping Apollonia were very nice. It wasn't too crowded, the servers were very friendly and the drinks were good.
