The location of this hotel is perfect a 30 second walk to the most beautiful beach on Colombia's pacific coast. It has a pizza Resturant next door and amazing home cooked food from the hosts. Pedro & Diana are excellent hosts extremely attentive and helpful. Breakfast each morning was delicious and on time. I can't recommend this hotel enough, do not hesitate to book. I visited in the humpback migration season, it was magical and I saw so many whales, you can even spot them from the beach 30 seconds walk, in front of the hotel. Pedro helped me book all my excursions direct from the hotel, including transport, I was able to do I night jungle walk & full day whale watching tour. This location and hotel was the highlight of my trip to Colombia.

I loved Mirla and Luis, they were extremely friendly. Choibana help me book tours with the best companies, the location was great with a private beautiful beach, the room was comfortable and very relaxing, I slept like a baby with the sound of the ocean, the sunrises were beautiful. The food was very good, the main source of protein is fresh tuna, but if you want something different, you can ask in advance and they will get it for you. I would definitely stay at Choibana again and I will recommend it.

I cannot say enough about this place. The location is beautiful and its connection to the large Botanical Garden is a major selling point. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and lead very in depth guided hikes through the jungle to see the hundreds of species that are native to the area. You can certainly come here and relax on the beach, but it's not really that kind of place. It feels like a bit of a remote outpost, which I thought was wonderful. You should be ready to be active. The hikes require Wellington boots, which they'll supply, but you need a good, tall pair of hiking socks underneath. They are strenuous, but so rewarding. Swimming, snorkeling and whale-watching (season permitting) are also possible options. The food is excellent and eaten family style. I never had a meal there I didn't love. The bungalow away from the main house was lovely. The only possible drawback to staying there, instead of at the main building, is the lack of Wi-Fi at the bungalow. But I'd argue that's also a feature, frankly. You go to sleep and wake up to the sounds of the surf and the dozens of bird species in the area.
