Absolutely breathtakingly beautiful , sang to sleep by the jungle birds and awakened by monkeys. Absolutely breathtaking. 

Clean , as described. Air conditioning was key . Bed was comfy , patio was private . Nice pool/ bar outdoor area

太好了！ The cleanliness was truly exceptional, and the service provided by Mrs. Mary was warm and attentive, ensuring we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The location is also very convenient, just about a 7-minute walk to the center of Puerto Viejo, with Black Beach only 800 meters away. Despite being close to everything, the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. I would absolutely stay here again without hesitation!

Quiet, clean, confortable rooms, nice staff

The apartment is beautiful. The setting is gorgeous and quiet. You can sit in bed and look out of the window at a beautiful rain forest. There is a view of another building, but the view is still gorgeous. The shower is stupendous, especially for Costa Rica. There is plenty of hot water and there are no tricks to figure out how to get it to come out. That is a different experience for us based on the other places we stayed in Costa Rica. The toilet even has a bidet. All of the rooms are quite large and spacious. The bed is extremely comfortable. There is also a table on both sides of the bed, something I was very happy to find. There is a huge walk-in closet with lots of hangers. However, it is not tall enough for dresses. If you hang a dress, part of it lies across the top of the shelf below it. There are lots of drawers for your clothes. There is a large chest of drawers and a dresser. There is even a full length mirror. The lighting is excellent everywhere in the apartment, except for the lights on the porch. There are lights by the locked gate. There are also lights by where you park. I was very impressed. There are some lights that are motion triggered. It is well positioned so that it doesn't throw extra light into your apartment. The air conditioning works extremely well. The air conditioning is only in the bedroom. They do have a great fan in the kitchen . If the air conditioner and the fans are on for about an hour and a half it begins to cool off the whole apartment . In the mornings and in the evenings, you can hear howler monkeys. The view of the rainforest is gorgeous. There is a very large camiseta tree in front of the apartment, surrounded by lush foliage, There are a couple of large pots and 3 Teflon pans in the kitchen. There are some cooking utensils, but no pot holders. There are many appliances. I think there is a food processor. There is a coffee pot, a teapot, a blender, and a toaster. I think there is even an immersion blender.

The place was beautiful. Well cleaned and fully equipped kitchen. Secure location close walk to town but relatively quiet area. The host was quick to respond to any questions. We were so happy to have been able to stay here.

The lodge was so beautiful - the indoor outdoor living, the care taken to the garden, the space in general. Away from the chaos of puerto viejo but and easy drive into town if needed. Great recommendations from the hosts who were the loveliest couple that provided us with information about the area, fresh fruit, and a sense of immediate comfort. Waking up and seeing animals everyday was an added bonus!

Excellent value, clean, well appointed kitchen, comfie bed, new towels for bathroom and beach each day, good parking. There is a nice grocery store at main road. Highly recommend.

Perfect location in primary forest, with many colourful birds, sloths in the trees right beside my deck, and the haunting sound of howler monkeys every night! Irina, the owner, made me feel very welcome and was generous in sharing her enthusiasm for the wildlife. The beach, good restaurants, and supermarkets were within easy walking distance.

I loved the location, the hammock, mosquito net, and the little private porch. You can get a tuktuk from Cafe Viejo very close by. Short walk from a MEPE bus stop drop off.

We enjoyed a central location in the heart of Puerto Viejo, just a short stroll from the lively center without the hustle and bustle of the main street. The main lodging area was a delightful oasis adorned with art, plants, and a charming pathway through a courtyard of lush jungle foliage leading to our room. Each room featured its own outdoor space with hammocks, creating a tranquil atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, offering recommendations for local attractions and dining options. Our room, the "Cleo", boasted a stunning view and proved to be worth the cost with its well-appointed amenities. The small living/dining area, complete with large open windows, opened up to a small kitchen equipped with all the essentials (though we didn't use the stove). Our apartment had two bedrooms, with air conditioning in one. We left the door between the rooms open, allowing the cool air to filter into the second room. The bathroom, located in the larger air-conditioned room, fulfilled our basic needs. Everything was impeccably clean and well-maintained and they came daily to clean and bring new towels. Note that while the living space can't be locked, but the rooms and kitchen can be secured, so we felt comfortable leaving our belongings there. There was additionally a safe if we wanted extra security. This was not a negative thing, but something to note for travelers. A charming touch to our stay was the presence of two 'twin' cats, Thelma and Louise, who became unexpected highlights of our lodging experience.

The hosts were extremely welcoming and made the experience memorable!

If you want a nice place to stay definitely this is the option for you, the owner is very nice the rooms very clean and confortable and the location is very close from the town. You feel like you’re on home 🌸
