We had a lovely time at Siquirres Mountain Lodge. Inge and her family were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The property and grounds are beautiful. It’s a few miles out of Siquirres but easy to get to by car, and only 10 mins away from the starting point for our white water rafting trip (with Exploradores - which we would also highly recommend! 😄). There is a nice local restaurant less than 5 mins walk down the road, where we ate on both nights. We also took Inge’s horses out for a guided ride which was a lovely experience with beautiful views over the hills to Turialba. All in all a wonderful couple of days - and we would recommend very highly. Thank you! 😄

It was among our favorite stays in the entire 2 week-vacation! It is simple but you have everything that you need. The tours offered by Edoardo were perfect and it was just the two of us and we managed to spot lots of animals. Would return and recommend to anyone.

Had a great stay at Popone Farm and Lodge. Really appreciated the creative and luxurious accommodations created by the proprietor George. Cell service worked fine in the common area. Nice small stream with a rustic trail also on the property. Loved seeing the farm animals. Wonderful breakfast which included homemade yogurt from George's goat herd and homemade strawberry jam and pancakes.

We loved the place due to its big surrounding garden, which is stunning and beautifully taken care of, and the team there which is super welcoming. The delicious breakfast was a new experience every day. You can spot wild animals (birds, frogs, spiders ...) on the premises and can hear the howler monkeys and many other sounds at night. I loved the power outlet on the patio. We would definetely come back!

What's not to like? Jessica and Elizabeth were wonderful hosts. The jungle sounds are comforting and civilization feels far away. We stayed an extra night to enjoy it again.

Exceeded all expectations. Thank you to the staff for all their help. Beautiful well maintained grounds. We saw more animals in the yard than in a national park. Lots of hummingbirds, a raccoon came between 10am and 11, and a family of Capuchin monkeys came every day around 2pm. It was a lot of fun to watch them.

Playa Negra Guest house is located in Cahuita, right in front of the black beach. All units are different, but all of them provide comfort, privacity and garden view featuring wildlife.

The location is serene, beautiful, quiet and directly across from the beach. Yellow cottage was fantastic with the big covered porch. The owners Marise and Peter wonderful and so helpful with taxi, tours. It is like a nature preserve.
