The food was amazing, it was an experience on it's own. Be prepared to eat things that you wouldn't usually eat and have a real authentic Japanese experience. I looked forward to breakfast every day, the food was beautiful and presented beautifully. The owners are super helpful and the location to the ski lifts is superb. We hadn't done an Onsen yet until we stayed at Shiga Kogen, so it was baptism by fire as the shared bathrooms is the Onsen, but don't be put off, it's an amazing experience and the Onsen is great after a day on the slopes.

Amazing staff and the food was amazing! The beds were sooo comfortable! The communication was excellent before the trip. They emailed us what train and buses to take and where to rent skis. They had a van to shuttle us to different ski areas and suggested which areas to ski based on what kind of skiers we are. The onsens were so peaceful and clean. Exceeded our expectations!

The location was ideal as it was just a minute away from both rentals and the gondola. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was delicious every morning. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating any time we needed anything. We will return there when we visit Nozawa Onsen next time.
