The property is both beautiful and rugged. I didn’t know all the details before I arrived, but was really happy to leave my car down the trail, hike up to my cabin with what I needed, and enjoy the peace, and the beautiful view. It’s like “glamping,” as there’s no TV or WiFi, but the bathroom and shower are clean and great, the little ea station is fully stocked, and there’s everything you’d need or want to enjoy the time there.

Located 5 minutes' walk to the beautiful Tahunanui beach and 8 minute' drive to central Nelson, Apex Motorlodge- Adults Only offers an outdoor swimming pool.

The location is just breathtaking. The view over the mountains and the ocean is fantastic. The owner Alan was super friendly and attentive and took care of all our needs.

Was met with a very friendly owner when we arrived. Great that he has the facilities for - and offers - complimentary charging your car. My rental did not have the type 2 charging cable on board, so he provided us with one. The room was large, clean and comfy, beds also very nice. The motel is easy to be reached. Recommended, for sure.

The staff was SO accommodating! We needed to leave very early before breakfast opened and they let us go into the breakfast room to grab some food even before it opened. We asked if they would store our bags for a couple days after we left and they were so happy to. On the way back we were late retrieving our bags (after hours) and they went out of their way to make it possible for us to get them quite late even after the staff had gone home. So communicative and generous. Would absolutely stay again! Also very short (2-3 min) walk to a great dinner restaurant, which was so convenient. Would definitely stay here again.
