Our favourite stay on the Salkantay trail, by far! The location is right on trail, only about 10 minutes after Chaullay on day 2 of the hike. The owner family was very welcoming and kind, they made us feel like home. They went far and beyond in their customer service, even asking us if we need a hair dryer. They also provided us with a great tip for a better route for the next day of hiking. There is also a very cute puppy in the house! The dinner and breakfast were both the best we had on the trail, very tasty and abundant. They even included a sandwich for the trail for free! Rooms are clean and the shower had hot water. Everything worked perfectly.

Salkantay Lodge Collpapampa is a recently renovated campground in Colcapampa where guests can make the most of its garden and bar. Guests staying at this campground have access to a patio.

The owner is so friendly and helpful. I cane down with terrible food poisoning overnight and he allowed me to stay past check-out and arranged a taxi to take me to my next stay - I would have been in serious trouble without his kindness

Our hosts were very nice, welcoming, and informative. Signage made it super easy to find the property from our trek. The hanging nest where we stayed had warm beds, a private bathroom, and a beautiful view of the valley. Our breakfast and dinner were both delicious :)

All of our stays along the Salkantay trail were great, but this one really stands out. First of all, it's a freaking coffee plantation! if you love coffee, this is gonna be some of the freshest morning coffee before a trek you ever could have. Let me tell you what an absolute treat it was to arrive there absolutely exhausted, just to see the biggest, comfiest beds, with fresh towels on them just waiting for our warm shower. Nibble on some local Peruvian fruit while you wait for one of the best dinners of your life, chug some water, and catch your breath within this calming, welcoming atmosphere. The staff were so lovely, very kind and serene. Beautiful view to open your eyes to in the morning as well!
