Allow me to make a brief description of the wonderful experience I had as a family this weekend in this wonderful place, amidst greenery and peace. This place was magical for everything it offered and surrounded. The house was typical of the area, with a simplicity and cleanliness to admire. Refije and Hasan, 2 wonderful people, welcome us with a smile and love a little unusual for today. Hasan offered us Raki, which he made himself. Refija told us a lot of history and customs of the area. She engaged my daughter to pick strawberries, potatoes and ripe vegetables that they had in the yard, she also took walks with the sheep that they took care of from where they got their milk, and made all the dairy products at home. For my daughter it was a very special and unforgettable experience. Everything was organic. Refija offered us breakfast with typical products, and everything was very tasty and healthy. Also at dinner, she cooked us (after we asked for extra) chicken kulac. A wonderful cooking. We took a walk around the village and enjoyed nature. Refija told us about a church that was built a little above the house, but we didn't have time to go, but next time we will definitely stay longer. This experience was a special adventure from the stress and chaos of everyday life that we are used to. I recommend it to anyone who loves nature, hospitality, isolation and adventure. We felt like a family, with Hasan and Refija, who were ready at any moment to make us feel comfortable and not miss anything. We did a little shopping in Kelcyre, because there are many markets. This was, undoubtedly, a trip that will always remain in mind regarding the uniqueness it offered. When we left, we hugged them and promised each other that we will meet again.

We decided to visit Tirana and live a simple, traditional Albanian life with the locals, Goni and Moza. This experience felt like going back to the days of our grandparents, and it was the perfect choice for our trip. I can’t express my gratitude in words to thank them enough. Even though they don’t speak English, we started learning some Albanian with Moza, and we truly felt like part of the family. It felt like a dream that I never wanted to end.
