Very clean and beautiful room with a good amount of space. I thought it might be a little old but it was very new feeling despite having so much character in the furniture and decor. Pool is small but great for the summer, pool towels available. There are 2 tortoises that live near the pool! Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The hosts are very kind and thoughtful. Parking is free next to the hotel, hosts will help move your car if needed Excellent location. Right next to the downtown/Bazaar and a little further down is the castle (also close though!)

The hotel was new and clean. The room was cozy, clean with all the amenities we needed during our stay. The heated indoor pool and sauna were perfect too. The owner heped us with some nice restaurant locations. We had great food there. Also the location was minutes walking from the castle and the Bazaar. The view was perfect. The staff was very polite and helpful. Overall a really nice stay and would definitely recommend and come back. Nice wintery getaway.

Beautiful recently restored/renovated property, very helpful, friendly, interesting owners. Outdoor spaces with terrific views, very good breakfast in lovely breakfast room. Within walking distance of the castle, which is very interesting and has terrific views. Just bring appropriate footwear for the cobblestone streets.

Me and my family we had a wonderful stay here. The place was super, super clean and had a really great ambiance that made it feel relaxing from the moment I arrived. One of the biggest advantages was the parking, which made everything so much more convenient. The staff were incredible; very welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help with anything we needed. I also really appreciated how quiet everything was, which made it perfect for resting and unwinding. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely recommend it!

When going to the castle, if you see Ajla at the entrance...

When going to the castle, if you see Ajla at the entrance after buying the ticket, make sure to do the guided visit with her. She is a young girl showing her passion for her country, without a price (you pay to her what you want), and she does a private guided tour for your group (I was alone and she did it just for me). It is a must if you see her! I recommend Restaurant Bineri for homemade meals with great city views.

Gjirokaster is unbelievable!!

Gjirokaster is unbelievable!! The bazaar and the castle were fantastic as well as the very steep but worthwhile hike to the Ali Pashar bridge. The museum inside the castle is a must visit. Well worth the 2 euro entry fee.

The area near the castle has steep streets. Care is needed walking to the castle and shopping area. More signposting would be helpful. There's a wide choice of meals at restaurants near the castle.

Arriving in the city was hectic.

Arriving in the city was hectic. We had our own car and the traffic was congested and we couldn't find any parking. Once we made it to Old Town, we struggled to find parking again and the roads are very narrow and steep. Once we found our accommodations which included designated parking, it was all wonderful! We stayed in Old Town and were walking distance to everything we needed. We visited Skenduli house and spent a lot of time in the Old Bazaar. We didn't make it to the castle but would have liked to. Furra restaurant was our favorite but there were so many great places to eat, you can't go wrong.

Walking the bazar. Trying local foods. Sitting at the bar by hotel fantasy to watch the sun set over the mountains on the deck. Walking the castle and my kids loved the Cold War tunnel. People dressed in traditional garb. Had one of the best hot chocolate ever made from a cappuccino machine. Walking Ali pasha bridge. There are 3 you want the one like Indian Jones hidden bridge. Hotel fantasy is fabulous with little pitches that look out at the mountains. The friendliness There's a guy who carves wood by the phone store and large square. We were just looking and after chatting he made us 9 free magnets right there from our fav pictures of trip! Fabulous little village.
