Absolutely stunning view from our room. Honestly was breathtaking. We could see mountain sheep doing their crazy leaping around on the other side of the canyon. It was amazing. Room was great, restaurant was great, reception was great. Nothing bad to say. The walk up the hill back to the hotel (if you go into the town )can be quite tiring but take it slow and enjoy the beautiful setting:)

If you want to go hiking from a very basic town then it’s...

If you want to go hiking from a very basic town then it’s great. I guess. But if you want anything else out of the town forget it. Zero. 58 km of dirt road each direction is not remotely worth the view. There are amazing views all over Argentina, if the town even had one interesting aspect fine but it doesn’t. Most people we saw there were sitting waiting for the next bus out. Nothing to do if you don’t hike. Sorry IRUYA, the rest of Argentina is amazing, you’re very ordinary by comparison.

An exceptional rendezvous after a tremendous hike. I walked all the way from Iruya and absolutely loved it - highly recommend if you're undecided. Just be ready to get your feet (or shoes) wet. The posada is perfect - it has everything you want and more: comfy bed, hot showers, insane views, skylights, playful dog and family atmosphere. It's family run and they really know what they're doing. If you're looking for a glorious hike wrapped up with dog cuddles, good food, and community vibes then this is the place to be. Thanks!

Would 100% recommend this place for your stay in Iruya. We had one of the rooms on top and it was amazing! The terrace is the best place to relax with a beautiful view on the mountains. The room was spacious with a big comfortable bed and the breakfast was delicious. The owner gave good recommendations! We hope to come back!

Nice room with some mountain view, good water pressure and hot water as well as comfortable beds. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was open most of the day. While we stayed, there was live music for lunch and dinner at the restaurant. The location was very close to the main sights of Iruya.
