This is an old castle with very big rooms and a large courtyard. The staff for checking in was sometimes hard to find but after a search we were able to check in. The breakfast was good with an assigned table based on your room number. The hotel is convenient to the downtown with its own parking lot--but it is a walk from the lot to the castle and there is no elevator to your room.

Very nice staff especially in the restaurant. Generous evening menu and very good breakfast. It is a good idea to choose half board lodging in Geras. Easy to park the car. Room functional, clean and lots of space for storage.

Beautiful and peaceful location with amazing host. Premises werre kept very clean and tidy. Spaceous rooms and big yard right next to Thaya river for spending time and barbecuing. A lot to see nearby; castles, and cute little towns/villages. Flexible check-in and check-out. Recommend!

This was truly a unique stay. Besides that, the hotel was architecturally interesting to stay at and truly one of a kind, the host was so welcoming and nice. The property had a beautiful living room where you could hang out with friends or others. Breakfast was splendid. He made sure every detail was accounted for, making the stay extra comfortable. We came through on a bike tour and wanted a place to refresh ourselves with a good breakfast. It exceeded expectations in every single way.

We made a last minute reservation when another accommodation did not work out. The kind host stayed past check-in time to greet us and show us to our room. The breakfast he prepared and delivered to our room the next morning was filling and delicious. Hardegg is an enchanting little place and JM apartments are wonderful!
