Great location with fantastic view. Super close to the cabin who takes you up to the kindermeile on Golzentipp and about 30 minutes from Wildpark Assling. For us, it was important as we traveled with 2 small kids and these were places we targeted to visit. Resort also has a great inside pool, spacious rooms, and very good breakfast.

A beautiful small village of old wooden houses, bedecked...

A beautiful small village of old wooden houses, bedecked with flowers, and friendly people. A great centre for exploring the area, winter or summer. Gondola to the Golzentipp (ski, hill walking, great views) from just behind the church. Excellent sports equipment shop in the village. And the beautiful church of St Ulrich.

This is our second visit here.

This is our second visit here. We like the location very much. The nearby cable car takes you in six minutes to an altitude of 2000 meters and the start of some amazing walks across meadows with 360 degrees views and up hill to a reservoir, a small lake and the top of the Golzentipp mountain. We went at the beginning of July and in all my travels throughout Austria I have never seen so many startlingly blue gentian and alpine roses. There was a myriad of activities enroute to keep children very happily entertained and a superb restaurant/cafe at the start. A gem of a day. We like to travel down the Villgratental which is near Sillian and where very old chalet houses abound and then travel to the Unterstalleralm cafe where there are stunning views from the balcony and lovely alpine food. The toilet seat lids are amusing too. There is a small toll to get to the parking space at the top and several walks from there. We love to walk up to Oberstalleralm village but also the waterfall which you can see from the car park opposite the Unterstalleralm cafe.

Obertilliach is a great mountain town with beautiful...

Obertilliach is a great mountain town with beautiful buildings, farm buildings blended in with residential buildings. Beautiful views, nice walks. The cable car is well worth the time, just make sure that you have half a day for it - We went up late in the day and only had about an hour at the top since the last cable car was at 4:00 pm. Of course cross country skiing in the winter is amazing with trails all over the valley and the nearby cross country/biathlon center.

I don't know where to start... the hotel is located in a beautiful, quiet place where time seems to have stood still. The apartments are spacious. We were greeted by a baby cot and a high chair... completely free of charge. The staff is friendly and approachable. They serve homemade products for breakfast. The wellness area is a big plus, the saunas are wonderful. We can't wait to come back.

The apartment was really cheap but had everything we needed: a kitchen, fridge, microwave, plates and pots, tv, couch ecc. Everything was clean and worked well. The room was big and full of light with a beautiful view of the mountains. We also loved the fact that we could use the pool, sauna and gym in the hotel nearby.
