Such a great setup in quiet rural setting. Loved the common areas especially the commercial-style kitchen. If you like to cook it has everything you could possibly need. Very friendly & accommodating staff. Not a long drive to north or east coast.

It's a must stay on the East Coast! Amazing views, great location, incredibly spacious deck/terrace, beautifully and lovely decorated beach house with magnificent views. The house has everything you need for a relaxing stay and is in a prime location. Well equipped kitchen, for all cooking needs, even with a grill and pizza oven outside. We loved the decorations, lots of attention to detail to make this the perfect vacation getaway. Definitely will come back next time we are on the East Coast in Tasmania!

A fantastic location.

A fantastic location. Here you get to see a part of Tasmania that is amazing. The beaches are beautiful. A good location if you are coming from the top end of Tasmania. Be prepared for the dirt roads as you may have over an hour or more on them depending which way you travel there. It is a place to relax and do nothing or explore the local area and walk on some amazing beaches. There are no nearby shops or paid activities. It is a place where you make your own fun. There is room for quite a few guests but the bottom room needs ventilation as it was not pleasant to sleep in due to smell. The property provides kayaks which would have been great to use but the door to the shed was stuck and we couldn't access them. The 'lake' is very calm in the mornings and a great place for a kayak. It can get quite windy in the afternoons.

Ansons Bay is a sleepy little fishing village with no...

Ansons Bay is a sleepy little fishing village with no facilities, so you need to bring your own provisions (or go to the nearest township). We wanted a quiet few days, just hiking and sticking to ourselves, so it was perfect. Very tranquil and beautiful and quiet - just what we were looking for. Nearby St Helens was the perfect place to stock up before we arrived, so we had everything we needed - and the house is very well set up.
