Kernow is one of the nicest places we’ve stayed at, especially given the price point. The owner, Vanessa, was super friendly - she met us at the gate and took us to the room. The room had everything we might need, had lots of space, and was very comfortable. Lots of nice little touches, like the cereal and yogurt for breakfast and Netflix on the TVs. We enjoyed walking around the grounds at sunset, watching the wallabies and birds.

The owner of the property was amazing! The room was spacious and had everything we needed. It was out of town a little bit which was great and was very quiet. Would highly recommend this place to anyone regardless of how long you are staying. It has a pool as well as play equipment for kids.

No attendant present at Check-in at 4pm.

No attendant present at Check-in at 4pm. Couldn't find anyone to serve me. Determined to find alternative accommodation and went to another major hotel WHICH WAS attended. That attendant said someone should have been at CTM and rang him. CTM attendant turned up and l finally checked in.

Clean and tidy town, shopping was made easy with the late close on Friday night. I travelled with a work colleague, and we had an early start on Saturday morning. The bedding in the cabin made for a very relaxing sleep. I will be returning in about 4 weeks' time, and we will be booking another cabin.

Absolutely loved Charters Towers.

Absolutely loved Charters Towers. From the little cafe’s and country hospitality to taking a drive to the weir and exploring the city we loved it. We did the Long Horn tour, took dinner up to the lookout and saw the rock wallabies. During the day we checked out the war bunkers and walked the town. Checked out the wall of history and the big world map. All the old buildings are beautiful. Such great mining history. Would definitely recommend stopping in for a few nights.

Beautiful clean & tidy little town with many beautiful old heritage buildings and so much history to explore. The old Stock Exchange Arcade, Towers Hill Lookout with the World War II Bunkers & the Venus Gold Battery are but a few.

If you’re looking at going for the country music festival,...

If you’re looking at going for the country music festival, Don’t! It was the biggest disappointment of all time. There was hardly any country and the time wasted by the committee with the competing competitors was a laugh. Expecting really great bands , didn’t mind paying the price to get in but no , nothing really great at all. No wonder even the community of charters towers didn’t even go. Speaking to locals at places in the town they say it has been that way for quite awhile now. Something needs to be done!

We had a great stay at the Gold City Motel in Charters Towers. It’s an old-style motel, but it had everything we needed. The room was clean, comfortable, and very affordable. We really appreciated the warm country hospitality—felt very welcome from the moment we arrived. Being able to park right outside our room was super convenient, and we enjoyed relaxing on the deck in the evening. A great spot for a simple, comfortable stay.

Our cabin was located next to a lovely sub tropical garden in the tourist park, and we enjoyed watching the visiting birds. The park was conveniently close to Tower Hill, which is possibly the major tourist attraction in Charters Towers. The cabin had a good verandah with seating and was fine for a short stay.

Very clean, presentable and welcoming. The room had additional items not normally provided in motel rooms as a personal touch. Great location in Charters Towers for our purpose. Our welcome was amazing and other staff were friendly.
