The town has the basic needs, servo, tavern, supermarket,...
The town has the basic needs, servo, tavern, supermarket, Post Office and a few other places that were closed when I was there. With quite a few sites around the area to see, I would use Leigh Creek as a base to go see the sites. Farina and Beltana historic towns, Aroona Dam to name a few.

The township of Leigh Creek is neat and tidy with excellent...
The township of Leigh Creek is neat and tidy with excellent facilities for travelers, with the Caravan Park being a stand-out. The town is always a welcome destination at the end of a long day on the road.
The 'Sassy Emu" Cafe is excellent, the proprietors are a couple of great hosts!
The Hotel provides good old solid pub food and the staff are very friendly and welcoming.
Aroona Dam is always a 'Must See" location when in the Leigh Creek area.
