Perfect accommodation in a perfect location.

Perfect accommodation in a perfect location. Comfortable beds and great shower pressure. I suggest getting you supplies at one of the towns heading in as this accommodation is fully self sufficient with limited dining options available. Loved the homemade baked goods that the lovely host brought down to us. It was a nice touch & they were delicious.

Maydena is situated in the beautiful Tasmania wilderness.

Maydena is situated in the beautiful Tasmania wilderness. There are lots of walks for all ages and fitness levels. The accommodation is rustic and in keeping with the surrounds. We have stayed in the area a number of times and we will definitely be back.

If you’re looking for a weekend escape to a peaceful farm...

If you’re looking for a weekend escape to a peaceful farm surrounded by forests this is your spot. Walk the NPs, do the road trip exploring and come back to a great shower, warm cabin and everything you need for self catering. The hosts are wonderful too, making me feel very welcome and looked after without being intrusive at all. The verandah overlooking alpacas and wallabies is a great relaxing spot.

Come prepared with food and drinks as shopping is very limited and nothing close to the property. Fully self contained with facilities to barbeque and cook light meals. A visit to the nearby Russell and Horseshoe Falls on Mt Field is a must as they are so beautiful. Sitting quietly and contemplating the habits of the Alpacas was an absolute delight. Cabin was very suitable for a couple with 2 kids, queen bed in one room and twin beds in the other. Well set up for TV and Wi-Fi. Lovely place with rustic charm.

The village is beautiful.

The village is beautiful. The people are friendly and helpful. You have the Junee Cave Track beautiful walk (we only walk part of the way as it was getting late), the Tyenna River, heaps of history. It was only a short stay so was not able to see everything. We will leave that for our next stay there which will be longer :-)

This town is very popular with mountain bike riders.

This town is very popular with mountain bike riders. Great trails to ride on and drive on. Everyone should experience the Rail Track Riders in Mayne St. Unique tour run by knowledgeable people great short walk to Junee Cave.
