Everything was perfect; everything was very clean and fresh. It’s a quiet place, ideal for relaxing. There is enough parking space available, and it’s only a 5-minute walk to the city center. The only minor issue was with the air conditioning — when it was turned on, there was an unusual smell.

The room with the grotto was absolutely amazing – unique, cozy, and full of character. The location couldn’t be better, right next to the river, offering beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere. Communication with the host was excellent – very responsive, friendly, and helpful. We really appreciated the effort the host put into making the accommodation so atmospheric and special. Interesting riverside town with many restaurants and bars.Unfortunately the cable to the Citadelle was closed during our visit. I'm sure it would be have been worth it for the view but it was quite expensive. a good sopover for us on our way to the ferry.

As for the town often referred to as the ‘Pearl of the Ardennes,’ it was disappointingly quiet after 20:00 and felt largely lifeless in the evenings. On top of that, many restaurants were inexplicably closed between 14:00 and 18:00 on weekends, which we found quite inconvenient and frankly unacceptable for a tourist destination in this part of Europe. The roads were no surprise either: decent within Dinant itself, but in poor condition outside the town, making travel noticeably unpleasant. Overall, Dinant might only be suitable for canyoning, basic sports activities, or perhaps older visitors looking for a very calm environment. For most other travelers, especially those expecting a bit of atmosphere or flexibility, it is probably better to look elsewhere.

The East bank of the Meuse, in Dinant, is where it all...

The East bank of the Meuse, in Dinant, is where it all happens. Lots of eateries (we re-visited 'Le Cerf Vert'), access to boat hire/trips, the Sax museum and - for children - 'La Maison de la Pataphonie'. The Collegiale Notre-Dame has an interesting interior (watch out for works). There's a well-stocked Carrefour Express, useful for drinks & picnic snacks. Further afield, there's a fascinating museum about 5 minutes drive up the West bank - 'La Maison du Patrimoine medieval mosan'; about 20 minutes drive up the West bank are the excellent water gardens of 'Les Jardins d'Annevoie'.

The city itself is stunningly picturesque.

The city itself is stunningly picturesque. For a short stopover, a walk around town and dinner in a restaurant by the river are well worth it. For a longer stay there are lots of activities, including river tours, kayaking, hiking and walking. There is a 27km cycle route on the left bank of the river, which is easy to follow, traffic free, with stunning scenery at every turn.

Dinant is a beautiful town steeped in histrory. There are loads of great bars & restaurants, a fabulous old church and the citadel at the top of the hill. Throw in a boat trip and you're a happy camper.

Perhaps the most scenic spot in Belgium, a variety of excellent eateries in town, the visit to the Citadelle is a must on any visit, the experience incorporates augmented reality and gives an excellent overview of the history associated with the site.

I have stayed here before. Nice location on the side of the river. Public pay (09:00-17:00) car park adjacent to hotel. Rooms are basic ibis, but comfortable. Breakfast was reasonable. The hotel is around a 15-minute walk to centre of town. The hotel is a good place to stay if travelling with your own vehicle. Parking in the town is quite difficult and the car park next to the hotel is ideal.

Very nice accommodation in the centre of Dinant. The street is super calm and quiet at night! Everything is nearby; restaurants, small grocery shops, pharmacy and bakeries. The train station is also at walking distance with lots of activities to reach by train like kayak, climbing and walking in the Furfooz nature Park! The host was very kind too.

The hotel is in an excellent location on the outskirts of Dinant. The food is superb and caters for all pallets. There are options to sit both inside and outside at the restaurant, which makes it a great place to go in the warm weather. All rooms are spacious and very clean. Overall an excellent place to stay.

Excellent location, in the centre of Dinant overlooking the river. This is a very small hotel, just three rooms above a restaurant. There is a communal lounge with tea/coffee making facilities and a fridge with drinks on an honesty basis. The restaurant served excellent food outdoors next to the river.
