The Beach at Koksijde is absolutely stunning.
The Beach at Koksijde is absolutely stunning. There are plenty of Restraunts and beach bars. Friday Mornings there is a street market with local belgian foods and other small business vendors. Everything you could want on a beach vacation is easily accessible on ZeeLaan (Main Street) Taking advantage of the KustTram you can travel from DePanne to Ostende (where you can catch the train to Brugge - a definite must see)

There were was no bed just a dirty sofa bed which I had to assemble myself, there were no bed sheets, just a couple of dirty duvets that were stuffed in a wooden chest, there was no soap for a shower, no towels, there wasn't even any toilet paper. The radiators didn't work so I was cold during the night and now the host is trying to extort more money from me for rubbish that was left by a previous guest on top of the 70 Euros that I paid for the night. This is the worst place I have ever stayed.

we used this as a base for cycling around the area and it is great for this, the beach is not too far and you can easily get out into the countryside. close access to supermarket with more cafes and food at the beach.

Expensive but clean vacation village between Newport and Dunkirk. Good for walk or bike at sea shore - depending on the weather. Relaxing and detoxing from big city stress - still only a few minutes by car to the next town

Koksijde is a terrific Flemish sea town with lots of great shopping, cafe's, restaurants and wonderful deli's. Always plenty organised for visitors throughout the seasons.
Ice cream from the new Italian gelateria "Tutto Gelato Koksijde" is an absolute must! Best ice cream outside of Italy!
It's also a great location for bicycle holidays and you can rent bicycles locally.
Also a great base to explore Veurne, the WWI and WWII War cemeteries or museums in nearby Diksmuide, Ieper and the Somme in France.
It's also only 1 hour's drive form beautiful Brugge.
You can have breakfast in Belgium, lunch in The Netherlands, afternoon tea in Germany and dinner in France, Belgium and the Flemish coast are an ideal location for a European holiday!

If the weather is nice, have dinner at home and watch the sunset, if the weather is bad, stay on the couch and watch the tide.
The apartment offers everything you might need for a few days. The parking is easy. The host gave useful and precise directions.
I really hope I get to do this again. I couldn't ask for more.

Great hotel as we knew already! Good location, with bikes very fast to reach the beach. Parking for free. Cool swimming pool. Big spacious rooms. Good breakfast. Very good (but a bit pricey) restaurant on spot. Kid’s playroom!

Very nice breakfast. The hotel is part of a very reputable restaurant and you can see lots of guest who stay overnight after dinner. It is well located not to far from the beach and there is a parking area.
