If you are staying in Bonaire, you should stay at "The Hut". Everything and I mean everything was perfect. The beds were very comfortable, I slept like a baby. You can completely block out the sun in the morning, yet you can make a nice draft through the room by opening the windows. It was spotless clean. You have a nespresso machine in the room so you can enjoy your favorite coffee. Next to the reception, there is a diving school where you can book your dives and there is a mexican restaurant, so you can enjoy some cocktails and some nice food in the evening. The town center is 15 minutes walking distance by the sea. We traveled all over the island, and on our last day, as we were waiting for our flight, we chilled the whole day next to the pool. It is in a lovely garden with a shower and you have sunbeds. We also rented a car from the owner, Lukas, we loved it. It was a really cool, typical island car that got us through all the paved and unpaved roads of Bonaire. Trust me, look no further wenn booking in Bonaire! Let Lukas and his team take care of you!

We loved everything about our stay. The villa was beautiful, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious. Joshua, Brown, and the rest of the team provided outstanding service throughout our visit. We had a private chef for breakfast, linch and dinner that cook tremendous. We highly recommend this villa to everyone!

Kralendijk is a calm and welcoming town that’s very easy to enjoy. We visited a place called Smooth Operators, where they serve tropical fruits and juices you really only find here. The town has several fully stocked supermarkets, so getting anything you need is simple and convenient. There are also plenty of shops offering souvenirs, from small keepsakes to very nice Dutch art, making it easy to find something meaningful to take home. The architecture stands out. The older buildings have a clear European influence, while the newer constructions along the beach are modern and clean, giving the city a nice balance of history and contemporary style. There are many restaurants offering a wide variety of food—Italian, seafood, Mexican, Colombian, Cuban, Dominican, Dutch, plus ice creams, desserts, boba, and teas. It’s easy to find something for every taste. People in Kralendijk were friendly in a way that feels real and human. Most speak English very well, and since we speak Spanish as well, communication was even easier. Many locals speak Spanish, and Papiamento and Portuguese are similar enough to understand without much effort. We rented a car and always found parking. The city is simple to navigate, and walking around feels safe at any time, day or night. We traveled across the entire island, and every area had something beautiful and very particular. In both the north and south, you can see flamingoes in their natural habitat, which is a special sight. The town of Rincon is calm and welcoming, with very friendly people. We visited 10,000 Steps, an excellent spot for snorkeling with clear water and plenty of marine life. The beaches on the windy side of the island show a completely different, dramatic landscape that adds to Bonaire’s charm. The donkeys are friendly, calm, and approachable, and you find them everywhere as you explore. Every part of the island has its own character, and seeing all of it made the experience even better.

As a solo traveler who doesn't like to drive/rent a car ever...

As a solo traveler who doesn't like to drive/rent a car ever, I was hoping Bonaire would be a bikeable island, not so much. I was glad to have booked a dive guide who was nice enough to drive me around a little, otherwise Bonaire is not walkable or pedestrian/bike friendly. Maybe I could have rented a golf cart but folks who live there don't seem to appreciate them on the road. More so, it's expensive for my budget! Taxi's are easily available but pricey, think at least 20 bucks a short ride of like 10-15 mins! Bonaire is a place to scuba dive and snorkel though! If you are visiting and not planning on doing that, not sure why you are there. For this aspect, it's amazing. Lots of spots to snorkel and see tons of sea life. Though I recommend getting into scuba and check out Salt Pier dive site! There is good food, and grocery stores if you're on a budget like me. Also goto Rincon and get the iguana soup!

Lots of beautiful beaches (though they name every sliver so before going it seems more overwhelming than it is.) Glad I rented a truck the first week & just explored. (I was there a total of 15 days - spent 7 with a dive group.) If you want to go further than just very close to your accommodation (other than downtown), you need to rent a truck. And, there is so much to see I recommend doing it at least for the first part of your trip. (Taxis cost about half a day rental. Be sure to get full coverage if you plan to explore because sticker type bushes WILL scrape & you will not even realize it is happening. Also, people tailgate BAD here.) I enjoyed diving, snorkeling, going to see the various sites on a drive to the wind sailing area (which I want to do next time.), watching wind sailers, going to the Donkey Sanctuary as well as the dog / cat rescue & driving up to Rencon & the lake where the flamingos are protected. Salt Pier is also very interesting. (I am not much of a history buff until I visit but I enjoyed learning history here.)

This is a sweet boutique hotel that is surrounded by beautiful gardens(Bali style) that are very well maintained. Our location was good. We were close to beaches and could access a few resorts near by for lunch or dinner options. The staff especially Isabel were very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay here!

More focus and attention should be given to guests staying overnight. The hotel has an excellent beachfront location, but it's overcrowded with plastic sun chairs, making it less relaxing. Bar and cleaning staff were super nice.
