CanadaIt was close to the legion :) It had an elevator. The room was very spacious and loved the wall between the beds, that was actually really nice. Bathroom was beautiful. Nice to have fridge and microwave.

Decent little mining town that I lived in & visit to pay...
Decent little mining town that I lived in & visit to pay respects to my ancestors buried there each year.
I am in my 5th decade of returning there to visit relatives, see the outdoors and fish (I don't hunt but my relatives do and have a moose tag this fall).
I also wanted to drive around to see the new mining exploration projects and mine sites along the "strike" strip that runs from Matachewan east through Kirkland Lake all the way to Virginiatown and to see Mount Cheminis (an odd volcanic plug hill).
The museum was fine the last time I saw it and I have stayed in Comfort Inn & Prospectors Inn just fine.
The small mall & Canadian Tire & Independent grocer (and Tim Horton/ Kentucky Chicken/Pizza place are OK but don't look for fine dining in KL.

We only overnighted there, the room was good and the let us...
We only overnighted there, the room was good and the let us have our dog. When we arrived it was raining and we had had a long drive went across the street and got some food and then went to bed , did not look around Kirkland Lake.

Dont expect luxury at this price. However it;s a good deal considering cost of hotels in this town. It was close to the places and people and needed to see and meet. 10 mins walk to down town. Unit was clean and not smelly, water is really hot for showers and wash ups. Liked the Roku TV setup, coffee maker was pretty slick.

Plain Jane. No working tv, no hair dryer, nothing extra. A sibling trip so liked the fact we each had our own bedroom. Beds were clean although not hotel sheet quality. No staff on site so not real comfortable with area being next to corrections facility

Great option for self contained accommodation. The 2 bedroom unit was spacious and clean, bed comfortable, kitchen has enough pots/pans/cutlery for cooking meals, good size fridge/ freezer. Bathroom clean, towels provided.
