Leslie was an outstanding host. She is personable, has a great sense of humor, is professional and works hard to maintain the highest standards at her B&B. We absolutely loved our stay and appreciated her local expertise, willingness to go the extra mile for our comforts, and efforts to produce outstanding breakfasts. She and husband Michael work hard all day long to maintain the well run B&B!

We stayed in Room 118 which had just recently be renovated into a two bedroom apartment with a full kitchen and a generous living room. The decor is lovely with fresh, modern furniture and the beds were very comfy and the Inn is very quiet. We enjoyed meeting Larry and Cynthia, the brother and sister team that manage the property on behalf of the owner (their mother) and they are both lovely people that could not do enough for us. We understand that room 118 was the last to be renovated and that the other suites are similarly appointed. We would highly recommend this hotel for those staying on the island that are looking for a higher end place to stay. Grill and Chill (not licenced) is right next door and open for all day, a family style restaurant.

This place was really cool, we got it last minute and wow was it fun. It's like a little town with themed accommodations - tipis, a covered wagon, little cabins. We stayed in Pop's Ice Hut. We took a little walk through the forest to see their animals - horses, donkeys, goats, a peacock & more. It has shared bathrooms plus an outhouse which was actually pretty nice! Also an outside covered community kitchen which was awesome and we were able to use up some food we were traveling with. I wish it didn't rain in the morning or we would have spent more time hanging out there. All in all a really neat experience. And our host was super nice.

Mindemoya was a good place to visit.

Mindemoya was a good place to visit. We went to see Treasure Island, as we had heard about the island on the lake on the island on the lake. There were places that were easy to park in for viewing the lake. We had a wonderful meal the the Grill & Grub (?) next to the Manitoulin Inn on 551. Great place to eat next to a great place to stay. In exploring Manitoulin Island, we found the Split Rail brewery and enjoyed that, too. We were unable to locate an open pub in Mindemoya.

Our host Leslie was very welcoming and gave us lots of information about the area for things to do. Our room was well appointed. Breakfast was superb. There was coffee and tea available 24 hours. We would most definitely recommend staying at Twin Peaks to anyone.

Mindemoya is a nice place and basically in the centre of Manitoulin Island so other towns were relatively close. There was a great restaurant next to the Manitoulin Inn that we ate at. The only downfall was that it was pretty much the only restaurant in town. Too bad there weren't more places to eat and nowhere to get breakfast!

Excellent value for the money and better than expected given the off-the-beaten track location. Everything was clean and worked perfectly. There were enough electric outlets in sensible locations. The air-conditioning was easy to operate and sufficiently powered for the room. Towels and linens were clean and supplied in sufficient quantity. We LOVED that there was enough coffee for a second little pot to make a coffee for the road on our way. On a drive across country where we stayed at 12 different roadside motels this was the best.

The motel is very nice. It is in a great location.

The motel is very nice. It is in a great location. The customer service was terrible. We complained about a wasp nest outside our door and the employee /owner laughed about it and did nothing to remove it. I am allergic to certain insect bites. Then, a few men on motorcycles showed up next to our room and began drinking and partying outside. We could not call front desk as it was not an option on the phone so I found the number to call and complain, but got no answer: just voice mail, again, nothing done about it. They stopped partying around 12:30 am: we did not sleep well because of that. We are very disappointed in the lack of customer service. We were looking forward to a quiet night for sleeping.

Great rooms. Geese and sandhill cranes flying by.

Great rooms. Geese and sandhill cranes flying by. Out in farm field, very quiet. Definitely not for anyone looking for night life, but very restful. Great couples getaway. Very friendly and helpful hostess. Lake two minute or less drive and other beaches within 15 minutes. . Very little traffic. Good breakfast.

This hotel was in a perfect location for us near Lake Mindemoya. We brought our own kayaks and we were able to put in at the beach close to the Hotel. We were able to bike down to the lake as well and have a swim on our first night there. Lovely clear water and sandy bottom. Our very large room had a full kitchenette with a full stove, fridge microwave. The queen bed was very comfortable and the room had alot of room for our bicycles and all our gear.

The Room was comfortable and a good size and very clean. The toilet was very small. It reminded me of a daycare toilet. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a beautiful setting. Unfortunately there is only 1 restaurant nearby and it didn't serve breakfast.

I was positively impressed by the hotel — newly renovated, spotlessly clean, and well-equipped. The coffee machine, fridge, and other small touches made the stay very comfortable.

The facilities were clean and adequate. The motel area was clean and had a feeling of openness. Close to Lake Mindemoya, only a 10 min walk away. Easy check in and check out.
