From
United StatesReally enjoyed eating our meals in the waterside pergola! Accommodations were very clean, thoughtfully furnished, and the kitchen offered lots of possibilities. Check-in and check-out were contactless; all instructions/directions were very clear and helpful.

Port Alice is beautiful to visit in the summer, especially if you bring a boat. Fishing is excellent nearby and the marina has a good boat launch and moorage with parking. The grocery was a good size and had a good selection of meat and produce. This town of 800 is right on the sheltered ocean It's quiet and very scenic -- perfect for walking, especially on the 'Seawalk.' It's simple, remote and yet very attractive.

This little town has a very good groove: everyone is saying hallo, the coffee shop opens at 6 am with very tasty musffins and scones and the people are very helpful. There are some tourist sites here, but life seems to go on just normal. At the south end there is a nice little camping site and it is said, that two friendly bears regularly visit the town. We didn't see them but we saw bald eagles, a deer, seals and on a fishing trip otters, and humpback wales. If you like the quiet life in a natural surrounding, don't miss Port Alice.
