There was special chocolate candy in our room upon our arrival and even treats in the lobby area each day. We appreciated being able to make hot tea (and coffee) in our room and the thoughtful beverages provided for us in the mini-fridge. The boxed breakfasts were pleasant treats each morning. Our room was quiet--we didn't hear other guests. We really liked the two-room suite. The bed was very comfortable, and we enjoyed sitting on the sofa in the other room either reading or watching TV after we came home from the theater. We were pleased to discover that we had the ability to use our Netflix on the TV.

Everything was spotless. Sheets and bed were incredibly comfortable, coffee and snacks when we arrived, a beautiful patio that we wish we could have spent more time on. We will be back for sure!!

I have been attending plays in Stratford since the 1970s.

I have been attending plays in Stratford since the 1970s. I have always found something new and interesting about the performances regardless of whether I had seen the plays before. The new players, the new directors and sets, etc made them fresh and thought provoking. Very relatable to the modern era even though they were written centuries ago. The themes are timeless. I will continue attending as long as I can. I look forward to each new season with anticipation. Play on!

Very nice restaurants for meals and cafe's for coffee and pastries. We had an excellent dinner Saturday and a terrific breakfast Sunday however book your dinner reservations in advance since all the better restaurants fill up quickly on weekends. Walking and shopping on the main strip was an enjoyable experience. Very historic and architecture going back a couple centuries. The activities by the Avon River were worth stopping and spending some time. There was a Harpist playing there and was excellent playing a variety music genres and a medley that included Stairway To Heaven, Hotel California and other classics. You can also rent a paddle boat and enjoy paddling on the Avon River amongst the many Swans swimming in the river and hanging out on the shore We attended a play at the Stratford Festival Theatre and it was a memorable and entertaining experience.

The hotel is a little off the path but my 90 year old mother...

The hotel is a little off the path but my 90 year old mother was able to walk to and from downtown just fine. The shuttle to the theater was the best! Stratford is su h a jewel of a town. So clean and the talent beats even Broadway!

I have been to the Stratford festival many times, but...

I have been to the Stratford festival many times, but usually as a day trip. This time I stayed for a couple of days to enjoy the town. There is a nice shopping district and plenty of lovely mature neighborhoods with beautiful homes to wander through. My favourite place was the walk along the river, even on an extremely hot day it was nice there. I also enjoyed watching the Dragon Boat teams practicing.

Lovely town centred around the Avon.

Lovely town centred around the Avon. Could have been in the Stratford upon Avon except the peameal bacon on the breakfast menus was a giveaway we were in Canada. The annual festival is top notch!

Interesting downtown core with old buildings of character.

Interesting downtown core with old buildings of character. Clean and well maintained. Vibrant during the day but only restaurants and bars opened in the evening as shops tend to close early/late afternoon.

It's less than a five-minute walk to the Avon and Studio Theatres; and easy ten-minute stroll to the *BEAUTifUL* new Tom Patterson Theatre (with obligatory swans swimming on the adjacent river); and a leisurely fifteen-minute jaunt to the Festival Theatre. Most of Stratford's restaurants (and even museums!) are basically in the immediate neighbourhood. The room was small (or even tiny!) with a view of not much more than a wall. The bed was bountiful, and basically the main reason for booking this new/old hotel.

Breakfast was delicious, fresh plate of fruit, then sticky rice first day, home made muffin second day, scrambled eggs, toast, bacon and sausages. Coffee, juice and water. Location was perfect, walked to all the 3 theaters, walked to downtown Stratford and all our restaurants Hosts were friendly and always available We were able to park before our arrival time so we could make a matinee show
