A dormitory town for Montreal overspill.
A dormitory town for Montreal overspill. Population about 40,000. You can buy anything at the malls. Plenty of choice for eating out. Walks around the lake/river. Lots of nature especially for bird lovers.
OK for 2-3 days but a little boring for a longer visit because it is a suburb and lacks the character of the big city. Everything in Vaudreuil depends on the car and it is not a place for mooching around.

Chateau Vaudreuil is an excellent spot for and wedding, which is what brought us here. Its expansive, lush, and well maintained grounds offer beautiful views of a lake, complete with geese and herons. Guests can enjoy the tennis courts and have free use of bicycles and kayaks. Staff are friendly and efficient. Food is excellent if somewhat expensive. The decor is somewhat gaudy -- lots of mirrors, chandeliers, oriental carpets -- but seems fitting for a place that specializes in weddings.

One of the finest resort with reasonable rates during off...
One of the finest resort with reasonable rates during off season. On the shores of lake of two mountains just outside Montreal is quiet and picturesque location for vacation. Shopping areas and several eating places are minutes away. There is a large outlet mall with designers shops.

Nice room with a small living room before bedroom. Bedroom was sapcious enough and bed was King size and confartable. Big positive is the incredible amount of shopping near the Hotel.
