The location of this hotel, on the Col du Grand St Bernard, is wonderful. The hotel is simple, rooms with no TV but that isn't why you are there. The Hospice next door is worth a visit and there is a lot of walking in the hills around the Col. The restaurant in the building is again simple but very nice food. We had the Menu du jour which was great, soup or salad, followed by rosti. Breakfast was good too.

Felt amazing to arrive at the Auberge as it is such an iconic stop on our Via Francigina. Everything was lovely,room, breakfast etc. However we had the most amazing meal in Hotel Italia just minutes walk across the border. The quality of the food and service made our stay extra special and at a fraction of the cost if eating on the Swiss side.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel - unfortunately there was heavy construction happening while we were there but they had let us know in advance . And it stopped at 4:00, didn't begin again until 8:00. The room was very comfortable with great beds, spacious and clean. Wonderful friendly restaurant. We really enjoyed our stay

It was a fantastic place to stay. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. Very peaceful surrounings I wish I had time to stay for longer. I hope to go back one day. Also, I had the best "hotel meal" ever in the restaurant there. All three courses were delicious and home made. 10/10 Breakfast was excellent too!
