Excellent property in pure nature, yet very well connected by public transport. My daughter, our dog and I all had a great and relaxing time. Hotel restaurant is also great and reasonably priced with lots of selection. Wifi was strong enough to do work conference calls.

Property was a nice bit of luxury and space with a serviceable gym and got a room upgrade to the lakeside rooms, drinks on patio and nice breakfast. The room is expansive with nice balcony looking over the lake.

We stayed in the penthouse, and it was very spacious and comfortable. We could use the coffee machine, but not the kitchen, which was a surprise. The location is perfect. Right on the lake, and close to the gondola for Madonna del Sasso and Piazza Grande. Walking distance to everything, right in the center of the city. Very beautiful. Good breakfast.

Intragna is a beautiful small town not far from Locarno (...

Intragna is a beautiful small town not far from Locarno (30mins away by regular train/bus). Siuated on a hill, narrow cobbled streets and glimpses to the surrounding hills and mountains. Panetteria Pasticceria Pellanda Sagl is wonderful: friendly staff, lovely cakes and bread, and superb ice creams (and a terrace with a stunning view along the valley). There are several wild swimming spots in the river (eg Golino and Ponte Romano). The museum is fantastic (and good value for money) with friendly staff … be sure to buy a ticket to climb the campanile too. We also used Negozio avantiavanti da Ursula on the main square for groceries … it's open 24/7 and has a good range of food. It's a shame the bar in the centre of town seems to have recently closed. There are lovely walks in the surrounding woodland (make sure you have your climbing legs though).

This small, family run hotel is the perfect place for a relaxing vacation. The location is fantastic, a peaceful spot right on the river with a beach good for swimming. Being in a small town up the valley it is usually a few degrees cooler than in the city, which is nice in the summer for dining outside and better for sleeping. The rooms are large, comfortable and well appointed. The food is excellent and the service is generous and very friendly. Highly recommend this place for your next trip to Ticino!

Relaxed family run hotel.. A garden in which you can take your meals surrounded by trees and shrubs. The hosts are helpful. The river and beach at the bottom of the garden are delightful and offers a refreshing dip. Recommended but if travelling by train beware of steep hill down to the hotel. Use the footpath signed from the station (next to the Station Restaurant)

Such a naturally exceptional environment. The small beach in front of the hotel, the clear waters, along the many large stones in the riverbank make it a very special place to visit. We all enjoyed our stay a lot (family of 5). Near to the beautiful Locarno, just a 10 min drive.

The hotel is charming, clean, and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was varied and included local cold cuts, cheeses, yoghurts, and bread with cereals and wonderful coffee also available. Marco, the hotelier, is a gracious and attentive host.
