ColombiaThis hotel is gorgeous. The facilities, pool and gardens are all beautiful. The location is nice too since it is very close to the airport (>10min) and also kind of tucked away in the mountains, so it feels very rural. The room was somewhat small but the beds and shower were fabulous!

If you want a bit of an escape from the busy Medellin "big city energy" this is such an amazing alternative. I enjoyed my stay in the mountains. Waking up to birds singing made me feel like a Disney princess lol.

There are excellent places to eat.
There are excellent places to eat. We had lunch at a vegetarian restaurant near the bus terminal in the city center. The weather is very pleasant. The people are very friendly. There is a bus route every 15 minutes from Gate 3 of Rionegro Airport to the city center.

This little hidden gem of a town is quite remarkable.
This little hidden gem of a town is quite remarkable. Many restaurants and bars around. Everything is walking distance. A lot of motorcycles stop here and that's super cool to watch. Everyone is friendly. Lovely markets on the weekend. Beautiful church. Easy drive to Medellin and very close to airport. Affordable without sacrificing quality. I love it here.

Rionegro is beautiful.
Rionegro is beautiful. I did not like the hotel as I had a rough start with terrible service from the receptionist the day before the trip. No TV options, so feel it's over priced for such bad service.

it was just the last afternoon and night before our flight...
it was just the last afternoon and night before our flight back home. we did have coffee in the lobby cafe, had lunch nearby (2 min by car) and in check out at 5 am went super smooth. we were within 7 minutes at the airport- where we dropped of the car. it is very close and easy access to the airport, which was our purpose to book this hotel.

rionegro is lovely. star suites, not so much. there were...
rionegro is lovely. star suites, not so much. there were cracks the walls, daylight and noise coming through. the bed was wet. ceiling tiles askew. apparently, it has no address, so GPS to locate is worthless. and i have to ask, how could a business like booking. com even promote a property like this on their website?

This hotel is definitely a retreat. The staff were warm and wonderful and served us tea and coffee on arrival. The rooms were comfortable with high end finishings. The terrace overlooks the jungle and it's very peaceful. The staff served us breakfast there.

Really close to the airport. The hotel organised a transfer from the airport which was really good. Small room, but absolutely okay for one night.
