My friend and I went duty free shopping. We had such fun. Was disappointed the hotel no longer has a bar or restaurant. We ate at Mar y Luna. Delicious. On the water. BEST margarita I've had in Costa Rica; I've lived here five years.

We visited Golfito due to its convenience to nearby wildlife...
We visited Golfito due to its convenience to nearby wildlife viewing (particularly birding) opportunities. A car is a must for this, so if you are not renting a vehicle, this option is not recommended. The property also provides good opportunities for fishing charters. The bay has a big tidal shift and there are no beaches close by, so this is not a good location if that is what you seek.

We met an amazing tour guide, he offers FREE tours (you can pay as much as you want) and he is great. He took us to a most unique places that we would never hear about.
Ask the reception for the free tour guide in Golfito, his name is Steve and you wont regret!

Golfito is a very pretty area on the shores of the Golfito...
Golfito is a very pretty area on the shores of the Golfito Bay with a variety of activities and restaurants and bars, and overall a very good range of facilities. A great base to explore the surrounding Parks and Bays and the Gulf with a ferry across to Puerto Jimenez. Good for boating, swimming, kayaking, fishing, water skiing, sailing and chilling!!

This is part of a yacht club development with its own pier at Golfito, a town which was established industrially (and still has some industrial ships) is in a stunning location, with simple access to the finest jungle/beach coastline I have ever seen further north on the Golfo Dulce/Pietras Blancas. The hotel is very clean and modern, with facilities such as a pool table/party room and jacuzzi. The restaurant serves good food and the service was fine for us. We saw turtles and needlefish from the restaurant, which was cool.

I really enjoyed my stay at Cisco Lodge CR. The architectural style is clean, minimalist, and beautifully designed. Everything was spotless and very well maintained.
Surrounded by nature, the atmosphere is incredibly peaceful — no music, just natural sounds. A perfect place to relax and disconnect.
The team led by Delia is so hardworking and caring. Each one of the team member are giving their best to take care of every hotel guest.

This is a great place to stay. The room we rented was huge and had a nice view of the bay. The food at the restaurant is pretty good and we enjoyed the free breakfast. After we finished dinner, we were treated to manta-ray swimming by as we looked on from the balcony. It doesn't have the feel of a typical hotel, however, so US tourists might be a little apprehensive about staying here.

Nice hotel right on the water. Rooms large, comfortable and clean. Nice bar too with a great view and the restaurant served good food from 12-9. Good location to explore Golfito and bade yourself for day trips out.
