The close location to playa Hermosa was the best part of staying in Lua Villas. The second best was the pool. The villas were great. My only recommendation would be for the kitchen to be better supplied include a pan for cooking eggs, fish, etc. A toster oven or microwave. A big pitcher for fresh fruit punches.

The staff were so incredibly helpful - we had to leave early to catch the ferry (6:30am) and would miss the breakfast serving window. They proactively accommodated this and brought fresh cut fruit in a to-go container to our room so that we would have something for the road. Alfredo at reception was also very welcoming and even guided us to a local rodeo in Cobano. We also hung out by the pool for a day, where we watched capuchin and howler monkeys interact, it was truly amazing to spend hours doing this! 10/10 experience at Manala!

The villa was like a scene from a movie. It was stunning!! The plunge pool was spectacular and the views were phenomenal. Brandon was such a great host. He carried our luggage down all those stairs. The wildlife is amazing right outside of the room. We saw monkeys, scarlet macaws, coatis, and tons of birds just sitting in our private plunge pool.

Santa Teresa is one of my favorite spots... as a parent I...

Santa Teresa is one of my favorite spots... as a parent I could say having a place with a pool is a NEED since the ocean is not to "kid friendly"... Small town that grew in the last 20+ years, it's amazing to see and meet people from all over the place, chilling and having a great time. Everyone is Pura Vida!!!!

You must not miss the sunset!

You must not miss the sunset! Gather down at the beach near sunset...for us it was 1745!!!!!! Stay off of the beach after 1000 until 1600...too hot unless you are constantly in the water. Be careful of sun burn.

Amazing for anyone who likes to surf!

Amazing for anyone who likes to surf! Also great areas of rocks that form natural private pools, fun for the explorer or nature lover. If you want to witness an amazing sunset defiantly hit this beach!

There are lots of public access points and some are very dusty and feel dirty and crowded. Find one you like :) North end of beach was VERY crowded at sunset. It's a bit more of a party town than a sleepy little surfing village.

Clean, safe and a nice chilled vibe … definitely not a Tamarindo … attractions close by including a snorkelling trip to Talouga ( I’m sure I’ve spelt that wrong ! ) a pod of 20+ dolphins and well worth the money / effort / time.

Well, the beach is beautiful, and the sunset is spectacular.

Well, the beach is beautiful, and the sunset is spectacular. However, the main road is a complete disaster. There is no pavement, the dust is overwhelming, and the road infrastructure is almost nonexistent.

The room was great and we loved the view on the garden. The tropical garden is what drew us to the place and also it is one of the quietest hotels in Santa Teresa near the beach. It's close to restaurants and literally 50 meters away from Santa Teresa Beach. The staff was really helpful and recommended where to go for lunch and other activities. We had breakfast at the hotel it was included in our rate. I recommend the omelette!!

Right on the beach. Beautiful Santa Teresa Beach to the right., and Playa Carmen to the left. Restaurant on the beach. Lovely room. Enjoyed the outside private dining area. Peter, the owner was exceptionally helpful. All the staff were really welcoming, friendly and helpful. Supermarkets and soda bars close. Loved Soda Linda.

Javi and Flo, the owners of the hotel, were lovely and incredibly personable and helpful to make our stay great. Stunning view from a hill top overlooking the ocean - beautiful sunset! It was nice to be a bit removed from the main strip in Santa Teresa - way more peaceful and quiet. The free breakfast was EXCELLENT!
