Beautiful apartments located within a small garden, outside of the busy area, but within 10min of waking distance. Easily the most comfortable apartment we've had in Costa Rica. Excellent communication with our hosts, we received a detailed document with recommendations and instructions upfront and someone was always available at the office for questions or just a friendly chat. Beach equipment was available free of charge. Amazing, highly recommend staying here. PS: to escape the crowds, check out Playa Langosta!

What a beautiful little hideaway nestled beachside within walking distance to nearly everything. Staying here was a dream come true, and more than I had ever imagined. Our bungalow was incredibly charming and fully equipped with everything required for a leisurely stay. Every detail of our accomodations was so comfortable and inviting that I wanted to just stay in the room and soak up the atmosphere. However, the beach was so beautiful, we couldn't resist. The restaurant was absolutely amazing, and served the finest tuna that I have ever had! The staff and the owner were so very attentive, offering personalized service. I had such an amazing time at this resort, that I am planning another trip back to the very same place.

The moment that you arrive a feeling of peace envelopes you. The pool and grounds are beautiful. Our room was tastefully decorated and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the presentation was delightful. We loved it so much that we stayed another night. We had some problems with our car and the owner help us resolve them. They went above and beyond mere hosts to make everything perfect for our stay. The location is about a 10 minutre drive from the beach and city which contributed to the quiet and calm. Stay here and you will never want to leave.

The hotel and its grounds are absolutely stunning, genuinely like the garden of Eden. Relaxing on a daybed by the pool truly feels like a slice of paradise. There is also a private access area on the beachfront which has incredible views of the sunset. The rooms are huge and immaculate. Location is also great with plenty of excellent bars and restaurants nearby!

Tamarindo was a wonderful destination to explore as a solo traveler. My favorite memories were watching the spectacular sunsets at Tamarindo Beach, taking a catamaran tour with a stop at Playa Carbon, and joining the estuary tour through Las Baulas National Park, where I saw monkeys, crocodiles, and a variety of birds. I also loved spending Saturday morning at the TAMA Artisan Market, wandering from stall to stall, sampling local products, and chatting with the vendors. I found myself returning to Kukula (at Plaza El Estero) several times because of its delicious, traditional Costa Rican food, good quality, gluten free options, and excellent value for the price. Getting around Tamarindo was easy on foot, and I would wholeheartedly recommend the local tours, the beach sunsets, and the artisan market to anyone traveling on their own. If you enjoy a slower-paced trip centered around nature, local culture, good food, and beautiful sunsets, Tamarindo has a lot to offer.

I loved Tamarindo but for me, 3 nights is enough to see what...

I loved Tamarindo but for me, 3 nights is enough to see what there's to see here. Ocean Restaurant right on the beach was a great spot for watching the sunset and food was good here. Refugio was also good-great burger and surprisingly their espresso martini was almost as good as my husband's. Tamarindo is Very walkable and lively beach town which reminded me of the jersey shore. If this is your style, then you'll love it. If you're easily bored with the usual beach scene after 3 nights, then put La Fortuna and Manuel Antonio on your radar. I met many Costa Ricans that recommended these areas for their wildlife, scene and adventures which is right up my alley.

What a great town!

What a great town! Tourist-y, yes but our stay was wonderful. Amazing food, amazing people and Almacen -the health food store - was a daily favorite for shopping! Beach walks out and back were 2-ish miles which was nice. Lots of opportunities to learn surfing, lots of excursions available…great place to be.

Tamarindo, is beautiful and safe.

Tamarindo, is beautiful and safe. The laid back vibe of the people who come here is fantastic. The people watching is unreal, Surfers, Families, Soccer, Music, Horse back riding, Boaters, Fishing, Restaurants of all types, Campers (on the beach) and even a small Police force cruising on the beach (not needed everyone was great:) . A great place for all types of people.

It was my 2nd time there, travelling alone and felt safe. It's a busy town with lots of restaurants & bars, markets, walkable beach & streets, wildlife (iguanas, monkeys, birds), beautiful sunsets, activities and lots of conveniences.

Our experience at Hotel Bella was great.

Our experience at Hotel Bella was great. The property was very clean and the staff (Butter and Nacy)were really friendly and helpful. Definitely will be staying there again and also recommending to friends and family.

This hotel was excellent for our family of 5. We enjoyed being able to walk to the main town of Tamarindo and the beach (approximately 20 minute walk). The town and beach are somewhat busy which made us appreciate even more the quiet location of the hotel. The property is small but well maintained and clean. We enjoyed our breakfasts at the hotel as well as lounging around the pool. Also while not necessary in this area we rented a car and were able to park outside the hotel without difficulty.

I recently stayed at the Capitán Suizo Beachfront Boutique Hotel in Tamarindo. The hotel staff were outstanding throughout my stay, from the front desk to the restaurant and other areas of the property. The on-site restaurant served delicious food, and there were always chairs available by the pool and the beach. The hotel is located on the quieter end of Tamarindo beach, which was a nice change of pace.

We loved this place! it was very nicely decorated, super clean and comfortable and very close to the beach. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious and very comfortable and there was also a shared outdoor kitchen for guests. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. This was one of our favourite stays in Costa Rica!
