The hotel is well situated, close to many restaurants and shops. My room was very comfortable, and of a good size. Breakfast was decent, it was buffet style with the variety you would expect from a small hotel. Staff was courteous and helpful. As a note, the hotel is located close to the main street area, albeit up a slight hill with controlled traffic. I walked to the hotel from the train station and was met with a surprise set of steps, it might be easier for those with more luggage or mobility issues to have a car/taxi bring you.

Springing Forth with Bohemian Elegance

Karlovy Vary owes its affluent grandeur to no fewer than 13 hot springs and a warm water river. Add to this its colourful façades and tree-lined hill setting, and it’s easy to see why it’s one of Europe’s most sophisticated spa towns.

The best views are from the Deer Leap and Diana Tower lookouts, both high above the Grandhotel Pupp, a famous 5-star hotel which starred as James Bond’s gambling retreat in ‘Casino Royale’. It also hosts an International Film Festival, but the city is really about the waters, a fact reflected in its English name – Carlsbad.

You can take the waters at the 5 springs under the Mill Colonnade, and the wrought-iron Market Colonnade houses 2 more. The Park Colonnade employs a similarly impressive style to protect 3 springs, while a geyser bursts up in the Hot Spring Colonnade. It was an amazing place !

It was an amazing place ! but 6-days there was enough,so we visited other local villages which were quaint & just as nice.We found Karlovy a bit too big to get around ? As we like smaller more quaint places with less people.

The history of Karlovy Vary and hot springs and clean unic...

The history of Karlovy Vary and hot springs and clean unic nature are incredible. Very clean and green city with many flowers and parks. Renovated ancient buildings get one feel back to 1700. Karlovy Vary's nature and climate make it to unique place. Many places to eat. Pizza Roma near Billa supermarket has good italian kitchen. It is a lot to do and se for everyone in Karlovy Vary.

A masterpiece of city architecture was created in this river valley for posterity to enjoy….It is truly a splendour. We were in Cesky Krumlov before we came here and we’re so impressed w/it, but Krumaly vary really impressed….If you’re in this region and don’t visit this city, then you’ve really missed out.

So many viewpoints, beautiful buildings, lots of nature trails, plenty of drinking fountains & thermal waters, and a must see city. If you have children with you, then they may enjoy the area by the Diana Tower (mini zoo and butterflies, plus a small playground). We loved our 2 nights, in Carlsbad, Czech.

Karlovy Vary is a very beautiful and atmospheric city with interesting architecture and relaxing surroundings. The city is comfortable for walking, and public transport is convenient and easy to use. I would gladly return and stay longer next time.

Beautiful town with a lot of interesting places to visit.

Beautiful town with a lot of interesting places to visit. Can be quite expensive, but there are also reasonably priced cafes and restaurants if you take the time to wander around. The Grand Hotel Pupp looks like a realy expensive hotel, but their cafe has probably the cheapest coffee in Karlovy Vary, and some amazing cakes too, so it really is worth visiting for that, as well as to soak in the atmosphere inside, or even their outside seating area and watch the world go by. with a relaxing drink

It is i nice hotel near the historical centre of Karlovy Vary, with private parkign place which is very important in this destination. The room was spacious and clean, with free water, tea machine, good restaurant on site. The staff was very friendly and helping - they arranged an earlier breakfast for us, because they serve it only from 8:30 and due to business trip I had to leave the accomodation before that time.

Small classic hotel in downtown Karlovy Vary. Short walk to all must see places. Service is kept at minimum but it works. Room was large and clean, bed very comfortable. Breakfast was good, they have both continental and English style. If you drive book a parking space before arriving, they don’t have a garage but they’ll secure you a street place in the same street, else you’ll have to park really far away.

Exceptional hotel which exceeded all our expectations! If you are planning a romantic escape for a couple of days then go to Karlovy Vary and stay in this hotel. Overall experience was great and we are definitely come back again. The restaurant is top-rated and it serves delicious meals. The hotel staff is very welcoming and helpful. The hotel spa was a nice addition too.

The boutique hotel is very clean. Located in the very center of Karlovy Vary. Comfortable beds. Good SPA (although saunas start working later than the pool, so we didn't visit saunas). Breakfast was excellent! Thank you!
