We didn't do much in Trutnov itself (except visit some restaurants and the Lidl), but the mountains are nearby, as well as a lake (10 to 15min drive).
The town/city is not too busy so you can easily move around walking and by car.

The hotel is very athmospheric and public spaces wonderfully decorated, especially if you´re a film geek like us. We arrived after the official check-in time but the owner who lives in the building, checked us in with no problem and was an overall nice person. Bed was nice and roomy. Breakfast was quite plain for vegetarians, but still adeguate and basic and there was good coffee, which is essential. We could have stayed for more than one night, but continued our travels the day after.

I hardly ever give a maximum note but Hotel Davídek deserves that. Our stay was delightful. We had everything what needed for a decent price. The room was big and decorated in a modern but comfortable way. Facilities were nice. We had parking included. And most of all we felt welcomed. Everyone from the staff was kind, welcoming and caring. I really recommend that hotel to everyone.

Room were tidy, bathrooms clean and supplied. Downstairs is the dining area with an amazing bar space in the style of a ol'Irish pub. Locations is superb close to the center of Trutnov. Nearby are restaurants and a few shops. Great place for a stay.

Spacious rooms, nice staff, free parking just by the hotel. It needs some updates, but it’s totally enough for comfortable stay. Rooms are clean, beds are comfy. Dogs are allowed for a small additional fee.
