I especially appreciated that the staff checked on me, as to my experience there. I had no concerns, but I thought that was a nice extra touch. I also enjoyed my dinner in the restaurant, the follow-up, dessert and coffee.

Stayed in the area for some days during my nothern German road trip and decided for this Hotel in Sterup, which has some long history, which you also learn about as part of the Hotels design, hosting travelers ever since. Everything was super clean and the room equipped with some wonderful old furniture, the owners having a good eye for details. In case one stays there, just don't go to your room, also walk around in this historic building and you will find some incredible surprises, like old wall paintings and others ... I just don't want to spoil it. I for sure will pick again this Hotel being in the area.

Featuring an art gallery, a glass-roofed inner courtyard and a salon with a unique painted fresco ceiling, this family-run hotel is a 15-minute walk from Südensee Lake.

Cozy, beautifully designed, LOVE the wall paintings. Wonderful, attentive staff. Breakfast was amazing. Vegan option was very much appreciated.
