The receptionist/hostess at the diner was very helpful. Rooms were wonderful, comfortable and well designed. Great WiFi, snacks and drinks in the mini fridge, and everything necessary for our stay. The diner is very good and the arcade upstairs was a hit for our family. Perfect location as well, right on the tram line.

Stayed there on a business trip. The room is quite comfortable with enough space to work, while providing all the necessary amenities. Very nice bathroom as well. The staff was extremely friendly and always there to help with anything. The location is also quite central, 10 minute walk from the central station and quite close to several restaurants and coffee places.

Due to a train delay, I made this reservation quickly from the train. The hotel is unusual in that it is the top floors of an office building downtown. The bedroom/bathroom was very clean and new. The breakfast was a fantastic deal at 12 euro with anything you could want. It is a 15 minute walk from the train. Also, the large bedroom window had a full Rolladen so that you could sleep in!

There's parking at the hotel, but also directly on the other side of the street in a big garage. Everyone is friendly. Really good breakfast, including scrambled eggs made from real eggs. Bike storage exists (but only for very few bikes).

A post-industrial city with many nice spots mixed with some...

A post-industrial city with many nice spots mixed with some that are not too attractive. I would say it's the best what former DDR (East Germany) had to offer: very open, modernist city centre with a lot of green areas and good public transport with the worst: boring and ugly Plattenbau. Many refurbished XIX-century industrial buildings and interesting museums are a huge plus too (honorary first place goes to Museum Gunzenhauser). Overall I liked it and maybe will return to the area some day.

We have arrived in the evening and the first impression was...

We have arrived in the evening and the first impression was not so great, the only site we have seen was a big factory with huge chimneys. Later, once we checked in and went for a walk, we discovered nice pedestrian area next to the hotel. It was quite and clean. However, now restaurants open in the neighborhood although it was only 9PM.

Wanted to come 3years ago, due to Covid was not possible. I was delighted, that Icould come this year and the city fascinated me. A lot of parks, a lot of room between blocks, wide pedestrians, in the evening music everywhere. Fantastic feeling on the Wine Festival, nice. And friendly people in the city. Very good restaurants, great regional food.

Lots of bars in Innere Klosterstraße.

Lots of bars in Innere Klosterstraße. There was beer festival during my visit. It was so crowded (in a good way). Karl-Marx monument (nischel) is marvelous. You see different residental buildings compared to west Germany. 3 days are enough to explore the city.

Transport was poor.

Transport was poor. Trains going to Chemnitz are from Democratic Republic of Germany, i am not joking .. First Class Coach was like Bangladesh trains quality. City is better then expected, but nothing touristic. I eat Chinese food. It was good.

The location is very good, in the city center close to most sights. The hotel is the highest building in the city, so it is very easy to find. Rooms have nice views, espceially closer to the top. The restaurant at the 26th floor have the best views. The room was not very large but comfortable. I arrived early but got a room before the official check-in time, which was nice.
