The location was great, the price favourable. The hotel doesn't have parking, but it is possible to park in the Parkhaus Ritterhaus 100-200 m away. Our room was spacious for three people and what was even better that there were also three beds (no sofa).

The staff was very friendly and helpful! The room was well equipped and had two little dishes for my guide dog as well, which was much appreciated. It was great value for the price paid. I would definitely go there again, next time I visit Halle!

Halle is a very interesting town with a fascinating history.

Halle is a very interesting town with a fascinating history. The Visitor's Information Centre in the red building in the central Marktplatz is a good place to start. It is very easy to get around on the local Straßenbahn and if you are a lover of music, don't forget to check out Händel's Haus. The Händel Festspiele is in June. There's also plenty of art to see, especially at the Moritzburg Kunstmuseum. There are plenty of great restaurants and cafes, especially in Kleine Ulrichstraße.

The Museum of Pre-history is outstanding.

The Museum of Pre-history is outstanding. The Halloran chocolate factory is well worth a visit but make sure you visit on a weekday when the factory is operating. The associated chocolate museum is also worth the visit. The Theater Halle is quite small but maintains a high standard in its productions.

Halle (Saale) is a beautiful historical German town.

Halle (Saale) is a beautiful historical German town. You can visit Haendel's house, Moritzburg, a number of churches, just walk along the Saale river. It is very easy to get around. Public transport is extremely well organized. One can visit the Opera House, the New Theatre, as well as attend very nice concerts. Halle is famous for its university as well. I had a business trip there and enjoyed it very much.

I was blown away by the Museum of Prehistory.

I was blown away by the Museum of Prehistory. The artefacts were beautifully displayed and well introduced by the multi lingual audio guide. (GE,EN,FR) I used the translation capability on my phone to translate written notices that, in general, were only in German. Good coffee and cakes in cafe Excellent museum shop.

The Weihnachtsmarkt (Christmas Market) is beautiful with...

The Weihnachtsmarkt (Christmas Market) is beautiful with plenty of delicious Glühwein, Eierpunsch and Bratwurst!!! It's easy to get around on the local tram system and there is plenty to do including Altstadt tours, a beautiful art gallery and a visit to the Händel Haus Museum is a must.

Halle is quite an attractive city with lots of old style...

Halle is quite an attractive city with lots of old style buildings and cobbled streets. However it lacks atmosphere and is quite a boring place. We were visiting my daughter who is currently based there working so we had a good time, but it's not a place I would go back to apart from to visit her, and I wouldn't recommend it.
