Krone is a very, very special place. Secluded at the end of a small German town, even though located at the real center, hotel complex offers an ultimate experience for a whole day of activities and amazingly peaceful sleep at night. The room and especially the bathroom were immaculately clean and maintained that way every single day by two, what seems, tirelessness ladies. Always smiling and polite. We kept receiving small gifts or candies/chocolates every single day. Breakfast was rich, fresh and tasty, and there was always something new every single morning to keep it exciting for longer stays. Spa zone had everything needed for few hours of relaxation. What a delightful experience was a dinner at Pfälzer Stube, one of the restaurants at Krone. Chef Fabio Daneluzzi, a top 50 chefs in Germany, prepared the food for the guests - food as well as plating created a fairy tale. The hotel is worth staying at just because of the restaurant itself. We felt special guests in a place hosted Helmut Kohl and George and Laura Bush.

Absolutely beautiful area, like a story book! Rooms were clean and modern with AC and heater. The windows also had darkening shades, which is always a big plus for me. Staff was friendly and helpful!

I loved the spa sauna area, the views and the terrace of the restaurant. I loved the airiness of the room, I love the thoughtfulness of design especially in the sauna. The sauna is beautiful, spacious and really well set out. The food was also excellent and it was all very pleasant.

Probably the cleanest Hotel room we've ever stayed in. Spotless. Friendly and helpful service. Secure underground garage. Being very close to the city center is also a plus.

Breakfast was delicious and they cooked eggs to order from their hens. Tables were set with linens, flowers and China dishes. The room had tall ceilings and brights windows that had blackout shades for the night. Lots of hooks in the bathroom for hanging toiletry bags and towels, which one finds less and less in modern hotels. The bedding was nice and the mattress soft in a good way (My stay was as a single occupancy, so one blanket, but a double room would have two duvet blankets on the bed). Minibar was stocked and reasonably priced. Non-allergenic potted plants added an extra touch to the room. The location was great for exploring the region. The village has a few small restaurants (closed Mondays) and one so-so bakery at the grocery store, but it is an easy drive or train ride into Landau, or check the nearby villages. Parking is around the corner of the building, off the street. They will pack you a lunch for an outing if arranged beforehand, and recommend/sell wine there. English is spoken, but I spoke German while I was there. I thought Villa Koeningsgarten was a great choice for my stay.
