We had an amazing time staying near Salzburg! The spa was super comfortable, and the natural pool was a real treat. The saunas were also top-notch. The room was spacious and lovely too. And let’s not forget about breakfast! The food was delicious and there was so much to choose from.

The hotel is in Freilassing, but is convenient to Salzburg by local bus. It has many outdoor seating areas, as well as an indoor lounge which guests can enjoy. The rooms are well appointed and have good storage. There is a beautiful outdoor eating area with friendly service and outstanding meals. The breakfast room is amazing with many options and the attention to detail in presentation is one of the best we have seen in our travels in Germany. Laundry service is available on request. The hosts and staff are friendly and guests are treated as an extension of their family. Thank you for a very special and memorable stay! We will be back.

We loved the location of the hotel. It was not a touristy area. The breakfast was fresh and locally sourced. The staff were helpful and responsive to questions. We requested fans for our rooms and those were provided within the hour.

Saaldorf-Surheim is a quiet, unpretentious Bavarian village, and a wonderful base for a few days. The Abtsdorfer See is right in town, with an easy path around it — good for a swim or an evening walk before dinner. Having a car makes it easiest to get around, though day trips to fabulous Salzburg and the Königssee are also easily arranged by public transportation via nearby Freilassing. We stayed with friends here and it felt like a real slice of local life rather than a tourist stop. I would love to return and spend more time.
