The location and the area. Amazing breakfast.

Modern, comfortable, clean room with an excellent view overlooking of the town of Wetter, the Ruhr river and surrounding area. Room was updated to modern amenities and efficiency housed in an old world post medieval castle lodge-like setting, nesteled on a hillside. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of choices in the charactaristic European style. Our dinners on two occasions were exceptional in presentation, taste and quality, while the staff was professional, attentive and courteous in providing their services. We were impressed at the genuinely personal service we received from the reception staff and from the owner himself, Mr. Vorberg who personally saw to our needs and to those of other hotel guests. This location meets the highest of standards in the hospitality industry in a charming setting full of old world character.

It was all very clean. Communication was clear and polite. The system for checkin is easy to work with if you arrive at odd hours, so that takes away any pressure of needing to arrive at a certain time.

Excellent location by the river ! Everything exceeded my expectations ! I had a lot of special requests for food given health issues and the kitchen always accommodated (restaurant in house is excellent - breakfast fresh and plentiful). The sauna is also super and the staff all very dog friendly !
