BrazilThis hostel is excellent. It is actually like a hotel. Beautiful, clean. The location is awesome, the city is so beautiful.
Marcos will host you like a friend, and help you with anything you need. He helped us book a tour to the lakes, gave us instructions to get to "Nariz del Diablo" by walking on the mountain, and even gave us a lift to the bus station.
I highly recommend this place.

EcuadorIt is situated in nature. The architecture is nice with beautiful green spaces and a pool. The rooms are spacious and clean.
The breakfast that is normally at 8 am was changed for us at 7 am because we had to leave earlier. Also they gave us another blanket to sleep cause it was cold at night.

Alausi is a very pleasant town There is great hiking...
Alausi is a very pleasant town There is great hiking nearby and at the Dunes nice walks and hirse back riding and dune buggies Alausi has good restaurants and a really excellent coffee bar which serves delicious crepes The train was cancelled but in truth I think we enjoyed walking around the town where the boys were offerred a few free billiard games at the bottom of the huge statue in the centre of town where a friendly man gave them tips on playing a better game Alsusi felt safe and friendly and we will probably visit there again

I loved the restaurante in town. EL Mesón del Tren!
I loved the restaurante in town. EL Mesón del Tren! The owners Lorena & Diego were attentive, friendly, and spent time with us during dinner. Lorena cooked for us a great meal as we requested!
It's an old Spanish style restaurante that takes your breath away and the Food is incredible!
Alausi can be a bit of a maze to drive around. But the second day, we were pro's!!!

It's a nice little town with a nice spirit .
It's a nice little town with a nice spirit . Hiking is great along the nariz del diablo train route - great views. Here you can also see a lot of indigenous ecuatorian people, especially on sundays at the indigenous market. If you want to sleep make sure you pick the right hotel because dogs and roosters are really loud here late at the night and early in the morning and many hotels have no soundproofing at all.

Nice, large rooms and the hotel is right in the middle of Alausi.
Staff is kind and helpful but some speak only Spanish so communication can be a bit challenging. However they are keen to assist and managed to arrange a transfer to the Nariz del Diablo viewpoint.

Great new location, perfect breakfast. It is safe and beautiful in Alausi and you can park in front of the hostel. The host is very friendly and parts of the money goes to the community supporting sport for kids

Nice hotel in the very centre of the city, it is good value for its price, comfortable for 1-2 nights stay. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice, cozy breakfast.
