Everything was top notch. We really enjoyed our stay. Huge room. Staff was on the ball. Breakfast was perfect for our long day of heading to Aswan. We managed to meet their IT team, f&b manager, head chef and on site doctor of hygiene (I believe) all seeking feedback. You can tell they are working hard to make this property successful. So glad we chose to stay here.

The owner was absolutely adorable, and he took us across the lake to eat fresh fish cooked on the fire with his funny friends. We had an amazing time in Abu Simbel thanks to them. The hotel was also nice and very close to the temples (10min by foot).

This place is AMAZING, best stay of our Egypt trip. We only stayed one night to see Abu Simbel, but I wish we had stayed at least two more to enjoy a relaxing at the two-level lakeside pool. The property is beautiful, clean, and very spacious. It’s an easy 20 minute walk to the temples. The restaurant is a good value and the staff are very kind. The rooms are great, we had a lake view and the scenes from the balcony were gorgeous. Rooms are very comfortable and have lovely decor. Highly recommend!

This hotel has been absolutely amazing! It’s literally just two minutes from the Abu Simbel Temple — the perfect location. The property is new, beautiful, and spotless, with a stunning infinity pool overlooking the desert and Lake Nasser. Watching the sunset from their terrace is truly magical. The food is delicious and freshly made, but what really makes this place special is the people. The staff are incredibly warm, kind, and attentive. A special thank you to Asma, who greeted me so warmly at reception, organized my airport transfer, planned my morning visit to the temple, and helped with every little request. She was always available, caring, and made sure I felt completely comfortable during my first time in Egypt.

It was so beautiful. Hand-painted Nubian scenery and designs everywhere, open garden areas to sit and relax. Plants all over. The dinner was exceptional. And the owner of the hotel was present and so kind, very personable and will go above and beyond to be sure you have the best stay possible.

The temple is simply incredible, as is the story of the relocation. The sunrise boat trip shows the temple in the best light, an afternoon visit means very few tourists inside. The evening light show is great, but be sure to ask for a headset, the narration was in French and the headsets were not obvious at the start.

Visit the temples in the afternoon (after 03.00pm) because the is nobody (except perhaps some extroverted sceaming chinese girls - but once they are gone). Yes, it´s hotter than in the morning and the light is not prefect. but you will have the temple for yourself and you will be able to make perfect photos from inside.

Abu Simbel is truly breathtaking.

Abu Simbel is truly breathtaking. We visited around noon on a blessed day during Ramadan, so there weren't many tourists. At times, it felt like we had the entire sites to ourselves. You can walk or take a transport cart to the sites.

In my case it was a check on my to do list. Went from Luxor day one, over night in Abu Simbel town and day 2 visit the tempel for 2 hours, then back to Luxor, a trip 2 x 500 km. Interesting to have seen, impressive story!

Definitely recommend staying overnight here.

Definitely recommend staying overnight here. We booked a driver to take us (group of 3 adults and 2 children) leaving at 9:30am from Aswan, stopping for a quick 10mins at Aswan High Dam on the way, and then going to our guest house (Kabara Nubian Lodge) for lunch. We then went to the temples for about 3pm - this was definitely a good time to go as there were hardly any people there and by about 4:45pm we were able to get solo photos inside and outside the temples. We returned back to Kabara for dinner and then our driver took us back to see the light show - which I'd recommend. You also get to take a few night shots of the temple lit up. I chose to get up in the morning to view the temple at 6am, as this is when the light hits the front. This aspect definitely did look good - but when I arrived at about 6:05am there were already a couple of coach tours on site and by the time I left at around 7am it was super crowded with at least 15 coach loads of people. I hate to think how busy it would have been by 8am! It was definitely the right choice to visit the day before in the afternoon!

A must visit historical place with a experience of a lifetime. We visited the sun festival on 22nd February 2024. Though initially we were disappointed with the long queue, the queue moved up easily and we were able to see the rays from 'Ra' shinning on the three statues. While waiting at the queue take time off frrom gazing at the magnificient temple to look east towards the "Ra" rising over the lake. The paintings on the walls are flawless specially more so when you begin to imagine that they were done thousands of years ago. Must visit the nefartari temple. Try the coffee by Lake Nasser.
