I nice tourist hotspot with restaurants and local attractions. It has a small port were you can enjoy some boat rides and a nice show by sealions (you can even swim with them). There are a lot of hotels with inside activities. It could improve a little on cleanness and more diversity of the restaurants.

It’s close to the airport.

It’s close to the airport. So you can be at your hotel within 30 mins of landing if you have hand luggage and jump in a taxi - which is what we do. But on this occasions we caught the bus as we were too early for our villa and the service was excellent.

We stayed up on the hill there is a small area for supermarket bars and restaurants you have the music bar, the red lion, both these pubs have good beer the music bar does some food both bars cover all sports, plus quite nights and bingo, Molly's Irish bar is always good fun with friendly staff and karaoke every night also bingo I think three nights a week, good food to be had in the Charlie Chaplin bar and the British restaurant plus very tasty Chinese all at reasonable prices, there are w supermarkets one being the British one with all the favourites a 20 or so minutes walk down hill brings you to the main beach area and shopping restaurants etc lovely walks along the beach Caleta De Fuste is only a short taxis trip from faro airport and has a bus station where you can get buses to link up to most areas such as dark or correoleco

Caleta de Fuste is minutes away from the airport and it's easy to jump on the bus or hire a car (Payless or Autoreisen are pain free and no nonsense). Caleta de Fuste is very much "Brits Abroad" and we always try to stay in the lower complexes where the town is largely flat and you have easy access to the beach, the promenade round to Atlantico Shopping Centre , restuarants and entertainment. Prices are often lower than most of the other islands. The resort is often not the cleanest with fag butts being chucked everywhere and there is often dog-fouling on the pavements. there does appear to be some developmental improvements, recently so hopefuly the investment will elevate the resort. The main beach has fairly crappy sand (dredged from Puerto del Rosario) but you will find many coves of golden sand up toward Atlantico and the swimming areas are all safe. In general, the beaches are not busy or crowded as it is far more laid back than other islands. I recommend Frasquita fish restaurant on the prom - order a big fish to share and it's quite reasonable. Lin's does the best fillet steak IMHO. It's not a shopping resort, by any means, mainly small souvenir shops and Chinese shops - you need to go to the shopping centre in Puerto del Rosario or Corralejo for serious shopping.

Everything is nearby.

Everything is nearby. If you want it quieter then up the hill is not as busy but still has bars and restaurants. It's busier down the bottom near the beach as there's more bars and restaurants to choose from.

We as a family have been visiting caleta for 8 years we love...

We as a family have been visiting caleta for 8 years we love how family friendly it is there's plenty to do during the day and night with live acts in bars and some restaurants are amazing there is always a friendly atmosphere its very family orientated with kids welcome in most of the bars there's no stag/hen party's very rare you see groups just mainly family's and it is so safe it is are absolute go to for our family holidays

we were self catering. The cooking equipment was just what was needed plenty of pots and pans. Fridge has a really good sized freezer section. The host picked us from the airport much cheaper than taxi from airport. The bed was very comfy. Whilst we dont go away to watch to tele the,fact that we could get loads of British channels was great. the host had sun brollies and a stand by the pool too very useful

The hotel structure is really beautiful, not the typical big hotel with more floors but is like a village with bungalows and villas. The position is nice as you can reach the best beaches in a reasonable amount of time and Caleta Fuste itself is a nice beach.
