SpainWonderful installations, with all sorts of pools - indoor, outdoor, jacuzzi - and spa facilities. Room with balcony makes for having beautiful views of sunrise if you wake up early enough, and get some freshness. Room is very well decorated in classic fashion. Staff was very friendly, and always supportive. Dinner and breakfast either inside or on the terrace, offering views over Seu d’Urgell, was great. Breakfast buffet is diverse (some hot dishes, and plenty of other offers). There’s also a nice path through the woods that takes you down and into town.
Definitely staying on our repeat list.

La Seu is a small town, and easy to get to know quickly.
La Seu is a small town, and easy to get to know quickly. It prides itself on cheese and other food, and all the places I ate were extremely good except one pizzeria (less said the better). There is a really interesting medieval historic core to the town, with an excellent small museum attached to a very grand fortified cathedral, and other historic fortifications above the town in Castellciutat, as well as well-marked (though challenging) walking paths through the hills. Andorra is also a ten-minute drive away so you can visit another country for the morning. As that all implies, the local scenery, at the base of the Pyrenees, is amazing, but bring some warm clothes!

Don't miss walking around the historic city center, just one block away! We used this location as a jumping off spot to visit Andorra, which worked really well. Our room had a lovely mountain view. I will definitely look for other paradors as we travel around Spain.

La Seu d´Urgell is a very nice town in the Catalan Pyrenees.
La Seu d´Urgell is a very nice town in the Catalan Pyrenees. Close to the Andorran ski resorts and national parcs. It has a very nice Olympic wild water park and a very nice quiet and peaceful environment. You can walk, cycle, ski, climb, find organic herbs, or simply be quiet and take it all in.

Old part of the town was lovely and you could walk around it...
Old part of the town was lovely and you could walk around it easily. There was a park that was used for the 1992 Olympics for the canoeing events.
There was a lack of restaurants open in the evening especially on Sunday.

Very well furnished and amazing open spaces in the central lobby very reminiscent of hareem buildings used centuries past.
Good central location although day we arrived in September it was Catalans National Day and everything was shut. (be sure to research that one like I didn't lol).
Restaurant option was fine if a little pricey. Breakfast was very extensive.
Parking in a secure area adjacent to the hotel for Motorcyclists.
Staff very friendly and helpful throughout from reception to bar to restaurant.

The room that we had was a small double room with an even smaller bathroom, but it was clean and absolutely fine for a short stay. Secure parking for motorcycle was available in nearby private car park. We ate in the hotel and the food served in the restaurant was good, staff were very polite and helpful. The breakfast buffet had plenty to offer (cereals, bread, cheeses, hams, tortilla, pastries, cake, fruit, yoghurt etc) and was good value for €7 each

Excellent hotel alfonz welcomed us a bikers to his hotel with a cold beer and immediately advised us on secure parking for our bikes. Lovely hotel really good area to stop if your out riding the pyranees lovely rooms very happy 😁

We loved this hotel. Extremely well run with delicious food and top notch service from staff. Views from hotel and pool are gorgeous and facilities are excellent. Best hotel in two weeks of travelling Spain!
