We stayed at Loft La Buena Vida during our December cycling trip along the Camino del Cid and had an incredible stay! It was very conveniently located along our route, in a beautiful rural village. Lourdes was exceptionally kind and friendly. Despite the language barrier, she offered a warm welcome and ensured we had everything for a comfortable visit, making us feel immediately at home. The casita is amazing: very spacious, featuring a well-equipped kitchen, a comfortable living/dining area, and a romantic loft bedroom. The decor is colorful and charming, and the bed was very comfortable. The large wood pellet stove kept the entire space wonderfully warm and cozy, which was a blessing after a cold day of cycling. Cyclists: the casita has a sheltered garden for secure bike storage—a huge plus! Highly recommend. Thank you so much, Lourdes, for your warm hospitality!

On the long road journey from Calais to southern Spain it is always worth going a few extra miles from the motorway to any of the small Spanish towns for overnight accommodation of outstanding quality. The Monastery is one such place.

Loved the bar and restaurant across the road. Great service and good food and drinks. It offers bodega tours - shame we didn’t have time to join one. There’s also a spa, which I’d have loved to have tried.

Working old building. Similar to a Parador but better price. Very quiet and full of character. Accessibility room and shower great. Large room with heating and Aircon. Very clean. Small cafe on site serving wine and food. We had lunch menu of day that was very good at about 17 euro with wine. Beds very comfortable and good size towels. Secure overnight parking.

Approaching from the main road, it looks like just a small...

Approaching from the main road, it looks like just a small cluster of houses, with the Monastery ahead. There is a little community that support the field work in surrounding vineyards. A winery and attached restaurant is well supported, especially at weekends, so book in advance. The Monastery itself is beautiful and full of amazing architecture, A guided tour is held twice a day, sadly only in Spanish but English speakers are given a printed leaflet. River running through the village is pretty. Large dark skies and peace abound.

We had a great stay at the Hospederia.

We had a great stay at the Hospederia. We had a twin room that was huge, with a big bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and clean. We booked half board - very good value. The dinner was three corse with wine, and the breakfast plentiful. After leaving, we drove down the beautiful Duero valley to Valladollid, and onwards to Lisbon. Finally I note that I stupidly left my Jacket in the wardrobe. The staff have been very helpful to get this back to me here in Lisbon.

The restaurant is exceptional, stays open late and the Bodegas own wines are innovative and very good..... The Bar is used by everyone locally, and the tapas and prices reflect that, Breakfast is top class ,comprehensive choice and plentiful. Outside is surrounded by vines, no foliage now but spectacular later in the year which is how we saw it on our last visit, sept 2021 It is a nice break in the journey to Malaga from Santander Highly recommended

This hotel is in a very small village where it and the adjacent monastery are the only commercial services. The building has been renovated to a high standard, with quirky wine-related decor. Our room was spacious, with a comfortable bed, fridge, and a freestanding bathtub. Breakfast was varied, with everything from fresh squeezed orange juice to a spread of pastries, cheeses and meats to eggs cooked to order. Coffee by pod machine.

The property is a beautiful impressive huge stone monastery situated in vineyards by a river. It has recently been converted to a hotel - the rooms are very modern with huge Queen sized beds, aircon and new ensuite facilities. Private parking and hotel also allows dogs which was a big tick. Breakfast was also excellent - great choice.

Lovely breakfast with great coffee and plenty of choice. The hotel is in a tranquil spot close to the river Duero and just a few minutes off the main road, although there was no traffic noise. The quality of the conversion from the historical monastery is superb by
