If you are looking for a quiet, seaside town with all the amenities, Laxe is a good place to visit. It has nice bars and cafes and a couple of small supermarkets. It is great for campervans as there is plenty of free space to park up. The area offers some great walks and amazing sandy beaches which are virtually deserted.

It's a tiny town, easy to walk around, relatively easy to park in too. The beach is great, although there are better, hidden ones within a ten to fifteen minute drive. I ate in one restaurant and as a vegetarian there weren't more than 2 or 3 options but i had a salad with Goats Cheese ice-cream, recommended by my host, and it was AMAZING! Still, i'd struggle to eat there for more than a couple of days. The food isn't that cheap but the beer and wine were. There is a beautiful old church to visit too.

A small town with a fishing port and several restaurants, bars and cafes. Although it's a tourist and surfer destination like most of the Galician seaside towns it's still rather utilitarian and not dressed up as a commercialised attraction. The surrounding countryside, bays and beaches are spectacular and there are many super homes in the hills around the town. If you're driving, you may find the parking in town a little hard to come by!

We had a very warm welcome by a friendly British chap who had grown up both in the UK and Laxe, he made us feel very welcome. The hotel is a lovely old building which is nicely kept with characterful rooms in a period style, surrounded by absolutely stunning and well-manicured hotel gardens with views over the coast and a great heated outdoor swimming pool. The breakfast was delicious with lots of choice - from cooked options to continental with homemade cakes and biscuits.

Lovely terrace. Spacious and modern apartment. Main TV had You Tube which was very welcome. Well situated so we were able to walk from the property to Praia Soesto, Praia de Traba, Punto de Cabalo and both ways around the Laxe headland. All were enjoyable walks which included some interesting nature trails as well as the crystal beach and the amazing New Zealand Christmas trees.

The friendly helpful staff makes this hotel stand out from others in Galicia. Despite the language barrier they were always willing to help, courteous and with smiles on their faces, something you don't see in other hotels in Galicia. 10 out of 10 for customer service!!

Great location in the centre of Laxe, lovely room with everything I needed. Good breakfast in the mornings overlooking the coast. Friendly and helpful manager able to give advice on the Camino.
