Matalascanas is a very large holiday complex with a very long sandy beach. In winter it was very quiet with very few holidaymakers and lots of facilities closed. This suited us and our property was excellent but I can't comment on what it would be like at other times of the year.

Matalascanas is right beside Donana National Park but the mosquitoes don't stay behind the fence so bring plenty of insect repellent because they are irrepressible and they are everywhere. At this time of the year (April), the main supermarkets are closed (Google lies about this) and so are a lot of restaurants and other shops etc. At this time also, the bars and restaurants on the beach are mostly understaffed and overpriced and so don't expect service with a smile or in a hurry.

The best was When wifi and the key to the apartment, could be used !!! 😔🥺 the bad ting was that everywhere was closed 😒 There was no information about nearest supermarket and outdoor facilities… Such as restaurants, beach etc.

Its a strange sort of half deserted seaside town, moatly 2nd homes. We visited in March i imagine it is much busier in summer. Not many places to eat out off season and the places they did have are very basic. One ripped us off by charging 40e for a piece of steak, but it is the closest beach place to Seville. The beach its self and sunset, and surrounding nature areas are beautiful.

Big stunning hotel. Ample room ensuite big toilet with balcony and magnific views to the sea. Great buffet with a variety of quality food. Animation at the pool along the day and music animation for adults on a huge terrace and stage. Accessible linked to the sea and bus every our to visit the hole town. I will be back soon again. Customer service magnific.

Place is amazing. Lovely hotel short walk from the beach .Garden is beautiful. Rooms are very nice ,comfortable beds and great shower .Breakfast was very tasteful and the staff very helpful ,giving advice about the places to visit ,restaurants ...We felt at home. Beautiful hotel.

Quiet location, but great views from the garden and easy reach of bars, restaurants, supermarkets and local shops. The beach was within 10-15mins walk and lots of bars and restaurants there. Prominate is excellent for a long walk.
