It's a beautifully restored historic building, which felt elegant and cozy. All the staff were both kind and patient with my poor Spanish. It's a short walk from downtown Oñati, and a short drive from Arantzazu.

Incredible location adjoining an amazing church at a great price. Rooms were large and comfortable with dramatic Mountain Views. We woke up late our first morning and missed breakfast. The lovely lady at the cafeteria made us breakfast specifically and saved our morning. Highly highly recommend staying here!

Great place to stay, very quite area with a lot of trees, golf course and the best of all is that it is in the mountains. Staff were very courteous and help me to get a safe place out of the rain for my motorcycle. Restaurant and food was great.

I didn’t actually visit Oñati this time, instead I selected...

I didn’t actually visit Oñati this time, instead I selected to go there for the hiking opportunities that offer a really nice experience. I did the “PR-GI 3006 La Senda de Urbia” and I really recommend it as a half day activity. Great views and lots of horses and other animals along the way. Another activity I’m happy to recommend is the guided tour of the Arrikrutz cave. The caves are impressive on their own and the guide really added another dimension of interest with context and explanations.

It's beautiful village, surrounding by mountains.

It's beautiful village, surrounding by mountains. We didnt realize that the village has old and important histories for the surrounding. It has an oldest university and very beautiful in Basque Country.

On the town itself, I did not find all that much to see.

On the town itself, I did not find all that much to see. Besides the old university building and the town square, I found some old facades on the streets off the main square. The surroundings are the reason I will be back - the hills and the wooded areas are really nice.

Good location. Busy hotel. Lots of comings and goings. They seemed easy-going and happy to accommodate our dog, The setting is beautiful, surrounded by mountains. There is very much a golf-related vibe at this hotel, with a starter pitch and putt for young golfing enthusiasts. It seems it's a place for junior golfers to train as well, so if that's your thing, you're in the right place.

A really lovely hotel, in a beautiful town - and with superb views (even in the fog we experienced!). Bonus of apple trees in the garden, and being able to walk up into the countryside from the front door, was appreciated
